Barack Obama What do you think?

Dear Friends, As I was listening to a news program last night, I watched in horror as Barack Obama made the statement with pride. . .'we are no longer a Christian nation; we are now a nation of Christians, Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, . . . As with so many other statements I've heard him (and his wife) make, I never thought I'd see the day that I'd hear something like that from a presidential candidate in this nation. To think our forefathers fought and died for the right for our nation to be a Christian nation--and to have this man say with pride that we are no longer that. How far this nation has come from what our founding fathers intended it to be. I hope that each of you will do what I'm doing now--send your concerns, written simply and sincerely, to the Christians on your email list. With God's help, and He is still in control of this nation and all else, we can show this man and the world in November that we are, indeed, still a Christian nation! Please pray for our nation! What do you think about what was said?

Yeah! Christians' integrity must remain no matter what! USA must remain a Christian country to be a model to other countries, not just in status but also in actions and in morality. God Bless America!

I guess this is his subliminal message of how he plans to "change" America if he's elected. I have watched a lot of Obama's speeches in horror. We got "change" when an all Democratic Senate was elected in 2006, didn't we? The Democrats keep trying to change our country, our system. The more the Democrats "change" our country, the more corrupt and immoral we get, leading the rest of the world down the drain with us. We need improvements, the only change we need is in the paychecks of the politicians.

Regardless of the comments he, or anyone else makes out of ignorance and the lack of experience, wisdom, knowledge, or anything else, as long as WE remain, this nation will remain a Christian nation. We were founded on Christian principals, and will forever be that nation. There will always be those who 'don't feel like they belong' or will try to change things to suit them, but I repeat.....as long as one Christian remains in this country, we will be known as a Christian nation. They might try to 'change' it, along with everything else we believe in, but they will end up with a major fight on their hands when they try. WE have God on our side. One nation, UNDER GOD.........

I never heard of usa being really a christian nation. I'm not from usa so can anyone explain. In Holland it used to be catholic but with all christians jewish muslim and other religious people it's not a catholic country anymore and i don't think we ever saw our country as a catholic nation.Me myself i'm christian but for me it sounds strange to say a country is a religious nation. But then again i don't know the meaning of it. But what obama probably means is that in the usa are a lot of different nationalities like italians dutch english arabic turkish marrocan spanish mexican etc that all has different religious in that way i understand what he means, but is it fair to the original native people (the indians) and the first american who made this country i would say no.You cannot change something because the country has changed into something multicultural. In holland we would say it's like the country isn't our country anymore but in hand of other countries.

People usually chose a leader that most represents what they stand for. it is sad that so many American people have moved so far from God and have rejected his fundamentals for living, but as someone from the outside I have seen your nation sink itself deeper into all the sorts of deprivation that God warned us not to indulge in. So the USA having a leader that echo's the sentiments of it's people isn't far fetched and not at all suprising There is only one outcome when a nation turns its back on God and we have seen it happen over and over again in the bible, once great civilizations crumble into nothing because the people either don't acknowledge the true living God or turn their backs on the creator. America is not alone, more and more throughout the world people are turning their backs on God as prophesied in the scriptures, so its not too unexpected. Even in my own country the leaders are full of themselves and while purporting to be followers of God they exhibit behavior that is totally opposite to anything that's even close. We as Christians have to watch and pray, for we have the hope of our Lord's blessed return, by this we have strength and can give each other the encouragement that we so need in these trying times. All Christians around the world should be praying for your country since what ever happens in America affects the rest of the World.

I agree that that's very disturbing, though probably for entirely different reasons to yourself.

Maybe what he tried to say is that, despite the cultural differences, they are now a more big and "free?" nation... But in the superfitial sense, well.... I don't like THOSE words...
