Kittens and sick kids

I wonder how many Doctors who have to deal with sick kids every think of telling the parents that when a child is sick and has to stay in bed a lot the best thing they can do is get the kid a kitten. There is nothing funner then watching a kitten play and boy can they play. They also like to sleep so when the child wants to sleep the kitten will be right beside him or her. And the best thing about it is cats stay playful there whole lives so they are great company even when grown. I have found the cats seem to understand when a child is sick and are careful with them. I would even suggest the have a Vet keep their claws cut short, NOT TAKEN OUT. I hope people who read this will pass on the information to any one who may be interested. Cats are not as much trouble as a dog. They do not need to be walked and bathed or any of the many things need for a dog. I love dogs and have 2 but for a sick child a cat is the best.
