It has been a lovly morning. I went to the grocery store and locked my keys in the car with the baby strapped in her sit. She waved at me hi mama , hi mama. I put my bags in the trunk and closed it then went to get in the car and reliezed the keys were in there. The cops came and let me in my car thank goodness. It only took a half hour. Have you ever done this?

No. I am almost obsessive-compulsive when it comes to my keys. I usually put them in the same pocket on the outside of my purse, which has a zipper to close it so the keys won't fall out. Once in a while, I'll drop them into a bigger pocket in the purse. If I have a pocket, I slip them in there, for instance, when I need to put something in the trunk. I am constantly checking for them. Even when I am riding with someone else and I don't need my keys, I start to feel for them and get them out and I'm not even driving!
I have been locked out of my house a few times when the little one is inside and she locks me out! That is scary. Had to find a place to hide an extra key just for those times. However, I haven't had one hidden for a long time, but probably should start doing that again.
One time, a friend came to visit, and as we stepped outside to tell him good bye, he turned the lock on the door handle as he closed the door and we didn't know it. He drove off and we started to go back inside and were locked out. We went to another friend's shop, me carying her with her barefeet, us with no coat, on a winter day, a couple of blocks to call the friend who has a key to let us in.
So, when I've been locked it, it has been at the hand of others! :-)

You are lucky that nothing happened to your baby. I have never locked anybody inside my car but I have locked myself out of the car a few times and I had to call somebody to bring over the spare key and the last incident, I had to call a locksmith to open the car for me. It took him more than 1 hour to get it open as I asked him not to damage anything during the process. Therefore, he had to do it the "hard" way as he called it.

we had some experience like this. Once my sister had locked the key inside the car but no baby was inside. Then some how we managed to pull open the door lock.
