College blues

I m a college student that live at home now. My parents have always said you do not have to work as long as you stay in school. That was cool with me, I had food, clothes, and a home. so it was all good until I wanted to go out. Now the are all like you need to put gas n and do this and do that. Now they new Dam* well I didn't have a job, what are they on?

They have been very generous to you thus far. Perhaps, they are now realizing that their generousity may undermine your transition into adulthood; another possibility is that they may be facing some economic difficulties themselves, which they are not sharing with you.
Get a job, even if it is only part-time. Now is as good a time as any to start building your resume.

That's quite interesting. I wouldn't understand them either. I mean they said if you were in school, in which you are I'm assuming. That's just ridiculous. I think its just cause they don't want you to go out. You know how parents can be. I left the house when I was 18 but it wasn't exactly my decision and I made it just fine. I'm not saying you should leave but I guess start searching for work. Good luck, I hope things get better.
