who do you like best?

I just can't decide between Mark/Chelsea and Joshua/Katee. Though I must say the last two shows, Katee really needs a little more personality. Not so much during the dances. She dances with great feeling. But afterward, during the judging and stuff, I'm like "katee, smile or something." I want to like her more as a dancer, but she's so blah up there afterward. Don't get me wrong, I don't like all the over-mugging the couples do while they're number's being shown, but when she's being complimented, come on. Maybe she's getting really tired. I love the way Mark dances. There's something really unique about it.

You mean Mark & Chelsie:P I've loved this couple right from the start both for their techniques and personality. Mark stood out for me during the audition with his uniqueness. Katee and Joshua are truly fantastic dancers and they dance beautifully together.

Oops, you're right. I meant Mark and Chelsea! I think Mark is superb. You know when the judge's say that the mark of a truly great choreographer is when they utilize the skills of their dancers and incorporate them into their choreography, I think more choreographers need to take that into account when they're dealing with Mark. He blows me away when he does his solo routine, but when he's performing someone else's choreography, he isn't often given the opportunity to showcase his own talents. There have only been a couple routines this season that he's been utilized and that would be Mia Michael's Tim Burton's wedding performance: his quirkiness really showed through and was like it was meant to be part of the dance - and also the Bleeding Love hip hop routine: I think some of the moves really complemented his own style. Other than that, the choreographers need to utilize Mark's signature moves more when they're working with him.

There are some dances that do have to go, which would definitely leave space open for new types of routines. I agree - the show probably wouldn't miss the quickstep. Which is unfortunate because when it's done right it actually is quite entertaining to watch. I think the only great quickstep we've seen was danced by Sabra and Pasha last season. They danced it stupendously - the speed, the personality, the heart that they danced it with - they made it look so easy! I actually still watch that dance all the time because it was just so good. Why can't other dancers do it like that. Every other time I've seen the quickstep on the show, it's been danced so slow and ploddish making it a yawnfest.
