How would you dress if you were invited to the Whitehouse or to see the Queen of England? In your best is my guess. Why then do we as a Royal Priesthood whose Father is the King of kings and the Lord of lords dress anyhow? How would people tell us apart from the ordinary person who does not know who they are and whose they are? I am not saying that we shold be dressed in gowns and suits but we need to be seen as different from the rest of the world.

This topic was covered some 8 years ago by a missionary to China and other Asian countries. He said that in some countries, what is considered to be holy garments or at least holy-looking garments meant the opposite in another country. He gave the example of long, white sleeves and long skirts worn with long hair for women, which is considered by most to be pretty modest ( I might add weird and really conservative) are clothes worn in one country ( forgive me I have forgotten which one) by protitutes! of all people. So, He said, dress properly, in moderation. Dress as you would as if Jesus were your permanent escort, employer, partner. Dress up for Him not to be ashamed to be seen with you anytime. That is the right way to be dressed in a nutshell.
