Have you ever read the novel like water for chocolate by Laura Esquivel? If so do you consider to be a feminist novel? And why? What parts of the novel makes you think that?

I've ready it and thought it a bit off the wall. The story was nice, but I didn't feel that it was really a feminist novel, at all. It, to me, was more about Tita growing into herself and, in a way, freeing her family members of the emotional cloister they'd put themselves into.
