So You Think You Can Dance

So after tonight... I think Will has a REALLY good chance of winning this season... Wow what a night tonight was! Hope you didn't miss it. Will was pretty impressive. I love chelsea and mark a lot! But you are right... they are alllll amazing. I think the right two got kicked off tonight though...

I noticed something a bit odd last night. Well, not just last night, because I noticed it on previous shows as well. But Cat Deeley is awfully touchy-feely with Thayne. On some of the previous shows she's hugged him and touched him and stuff, and tonight she was running her fingers through his hair when she put her arm behind him as she was talking to the camera. When he was voted off, she hugged him for a really long time, and then when the other dancers came on stage to wish him well, she looked like she was trying to hold back emotion. Am I the only one who noticed that?

I didn't notice. Hmm, that's really weird!

obviously singing and dancing are different. I was comparing how they are pushed into styles they aren't familiar with or won't be doing anytime after. Sorry you didn't get it.

Well, I don't think that this show is anything like American Idol in the sense that singing and dancing are much different fields (of course they are both reality shows). What I mean is that these dancers are given the opportunity to perform in many different styles while getting to work with some of the most amazing choreographers in the world. These dancers take pride in the fact that they are learning other styles because this gives them a much better chance to get noticed for their variety of talent. Singers are much different because obviously they have one or two styles that they are very good at and usually only want to pursue that. Dancers have to show that they are talented in many different styles in order to by hired on to a professional dance "team". If selected by a professional team, most dancers are expected to be able to dance whatever is given them, while a singer being hired onto a music label is hired because most of the artists on the label are similar to their style already. I hope this makes sense and this is ONLY MY OPINION :). Thanks for your response; I do agree that the tryouts are quite entertaining to say the least!
