Whisper of the Heart is a G rated movie about two young people in junior high school. It takes place in Japan where students must pass difficult tests for the right to be in high school. The movie was released in 2006 in the United States. It was a long wait, as it was available in Japan in 1995, but certainly worth the wait. The voices are Brittany Snow, David Gallagher, Courtney Thorne-Smith, and Cary Elwes. Its a Disney Movie and the same creators as Spirited Away. I remember the period in my life when I wasn't sure what my true talents were and worked very hard to figure out my talents. Her parents want her to attend high school and she wants to be a writer. She starts working on a book and has Nishi read it. He encourages her to keep working on it. I think Brittany Snow was a good choice for the role. Seiji Amasawa played by David Gallagher wants to be a violin maker. He really plays the violin so well. He travels to another country to get better at making violins. I was impressed that he wanted to be a great violin maker. Watch the video to see how the story ends whether they get together and meet the magical cat figure. I enjoyed watching Shizuku follow the cat and the scene with the cat and dog.
