Unresolved discussions?

I was looking at my little user sidebar today, and I noticed something that perplexed me. The link at the bottom of the list under the "discussions" heading said "my unresolved discussions". I click on it out of curiosity, and every single discussion I've made is on there. So I guess I'm confused. What makes a discussion "unresolved"? Is there a way to "resolve" it?
Any help would be gladly appreciated. myLot is so confusing sometimes!

You only have to choose the best response for it to be deleted. Me I wait for about a month before I choose the best response. No need for you to worry.

those are the discussion that yous started but did not choose a best response. so a syou select best response for them, they will disappear from there one by one. hope its clear to you now.
