Think about that? You are trying to give something away for free and nobody wants it. I'm not just talking about online, I'm talking about real things. For example, I'm a Harley Davidson salesman. I'm trying to giveaway a brand new Harley Davidson worth $18000 for free and nobody wants to sign up!!! Can you believe that? But there are people that don't sign up and but one! I have to use more "sales talk" for the free stuff than the things that people buy. Everyone knows that I have a few free programs on my profile. They are there for people to join for free. So why do you think FREE is a hard sale?

probably because most of us grew up being told "nothing in life is free" and therefore (especially nowadays) we are sure that somewhere, in the finest of print we are being locked into signing up for something, some service, subscription, that we dont really want any part of. and when that happens (and im sure most of us have had it happen, me with magazine subs that take months to get cancelled) nobody wants to have to deal with the hassle and sometimes a downright fight to get out of whatever it is we unknowingly signed up for.
at least thats why i never want to sign up for things like that!
