I'm setting here at 4:50am, because the cat knocked over something on the dresser and woke me, about 2am, now I can't get back to sleep.
I was wondering what time do you get up usually in the mornings. Are you one that has to go to work and means you get up at a certain time each day. Or are you one that has the benefits of not having to work so you get to sleep in as long as you like.
Soemtimes I'm up at 3am, can't sleep, and that is bad if there is no time for a nap in the afternoon. But most of the time I am up about 7-7:30 each morning, just seems that is the time I wake up. So tell me wht time do you get up, do you stay in bed longer on your days off or are you still up at the same time. Are you one that wakes up automatic or you need the alarm clock to go off blaring before you can get awake.

I don't sleep very much at all and I usually get up between 5.30 and 6 a.m. When this first started happening about 10 years ago, I worried about not getting enough sleep, but then I just stopped worrying thinking that I will sleep when I am tired enough. But around 5 hours or sometimes less, seems to be it for me and I feel fine with it.

Every weekday morning, I wake up at exactly 6 am. My wife is my trusted alarm clock. You see, she is a teacher, and she has to go off for work around 6.30am, so she will wake up at 5.50am, and after washing up, she will wake me on the dot of 6. I will then wash up and have breakfast with her before she goes off. On weekends, I get to wake up a little later, around 7.20am. Irrespective what time I wake up, I usually sleep quite late, around 1am or 2am, and hardly before the midnight hour.

Please disregard the image that appeared with my post here...it is a very obvious glitch in the myLot software after they implemented the changes to the format. This image was supposed to have appeared with my other message here http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/1599615.aspx but didn't, and only did after a few tries.
Had a good laugh though when I saw this appearing here!! I hope myLot administrators are taking note of this screw-up in their software.

Well, since I work the day shift, I have to be up 5 mornings a week by 6 a.m. Yeah, there are a lot of mornings I would rather sleep in if I could, but when you have to be to work by 8, that would not work. I had a really hard time getting up when I first started working days, but now most of the time on my days off even you will find me up by 8:30-9 a.m. at the latest. For me, I just can never sleep in anymore.

I used to get up at 5:00 every morning faithfully, but once I had my surgery and ended up spending two weeks in bed, I started sleeping in some. The new time became somewhere between 9 and 10 in the morning. Since moving, the average wake up time is between 6 and 7. Weekends are between 9 and 10, but during the week, I wake up earlier. Maybe after all the unpacking, repairs and whatnot are completed, I will be able to get into a better schedule.

I will wake up around five or so in the morning, but then after I have gone to the washroom, I will get back to bed. Even though I do not work outside the home, I will get up around seven thirty. I am trying to get the whole eight hours sleep, but I do wake up and go back to sleep as I am a very light sleeper. I have this internal clock in me who wakes me up.

I never need an alarm clock because I always wake up sometime between 4am and 5am. And nothing needs to be done that early, at least for me in my life. I am on disability and don't have a job, but I can never sleep late. I go to bed around 2am, and then am up about three hours later. I don't nap either. I have sleeping pills prescribed to me from a doctor, but I don't like taking them. Over the counter sleeping pills, and herbal remedies have never been able to help me. So probably once a month I give in, take a sleeping pill, and sleep a good, solid 7 hours. I just don't want to take them all the time, you know?

I don't work out of the house anymore, but when I did, I woke up at around 5:30 am. I woke the children at 6am and I left for work ten minutes before 7am. Now I get up when my husband needs to get up for work. That changes if he has the morning or the late shift.
Have a nice day

Hi,
I am a late night person. My hubby is on the night shift so I don't go to bed until he is home from work which is about 4 am. We chat awhile so it is usually 5-5:30 am until I go to bed. So I don't get up until usually 2pm in the afternoon. On the days that hubby works, I set my alarm to get up at 2pm. On the days he's off, I just wake up whenever I wake up. lol
I don't work outside the home so it really doesn't matter when I get up.
Have a great day!
Char

I used to have to get up at 5am every morning to get hubby off to work. But these days, I don't have any particular time to get up. But usually I wake up between 6am and 7am. I just can't sleep late most days. Unless I've been up most of the night, then perhaps I may sleep a bit later.

I'm an arly bird and always has been, I'm a stay home mom with 4 kids, and getting up early is a must here. my oldest use to go to school and have to get up at 5 a.m. and be at the bus at 6:20 and from there on my other kids have to be up at least 1/2 hour later so early is for me. I also get up and down all night long, either I hear dogs barking, or something moved or fell in my home, or my oldest son is coming in from being out with his friends. so between 2-3 hours of sleep is what I sometimes get if I'm lucky.lol

My alarm is set for 6.45am in order to get my kids ready for school and nursery. I get up any time from then to 7.30. If I get to have a lie in, I'm out of bed by about 8.30 at the latest. I suppose it's just because I'm used to getting up fairly early so that seems like a long lie in!

weekends are the only time I get up late, at the latest by 7 am, or else the milk man buzzing would wake up the entire block, then comes the car cleaner, so sleeping late is out of question. during normal working days I have to get up before 5:45 am, only after switching snooze twice I get up .I am a night person, since with kids going to school early I have to get up before them. may be once i get old ig god gives me good health along with plenty of sleep, I will catch up with sleeping later.

I wake up at 7.30 in the morning and then go straight check my mails for half an hour. After that I brush my teeth, go to the loo and have my tea. After that I read the paper which is followed by my bath. And then come breakfast and off to work. Lunch at 1.00 PM and after that sit in front of the computer and do some online share trading. at 3.30PM go and pick up my son from school. After that come and take a walk for about half an hour. Dinner is at 7.15PM after that do some mylotting, surfing the web and checking mails. Off to sleep by 10.00PM. This what is my usual schedule of a day.

When I was working, I was up by 6-6:30 every morning. Now that I don't have a job, I tend to stay up way later (I'm such a night owl) and wake up later (anywhere from 10am to 1pm!). My sleep schedule is really messed up since I never have anyplace to be in the mornings! I need to fix it :)
