WOW. You also had been married for 20 years. You must have a good partner or you are a good partner. I wish there will be a topic here that gives tips on how to keep a relationship long...as long as yours or longer. Thank you so much for responding. Take care =)

Yes, I am married. Our 7 years Anniversary is tomorrow. 6 years as of now, is the length of our marriage. I am hoping that we will be together forever, but I am afraid to wait and see. My husband has an reputation of being violent towards me. It scares me at times.. Only God can answer this.. I can't say if we are going to be together forever. Right now, I am not happy in this marriage at all.

Hi cream97
If he is violent with you, why do you stay? Are you hoping that he will change? God can not help you with this. It you who has to help yourself. If you're scared why do you keeping stay in this type of of relationship? As matter of fact you just answered your own question. You're not happy and your scared what more of a sign do you want. You need to take care of yourself and make a better life. My father punch my mother on the face one time. She didn't do anything. The second time, he hit her again, she told herself that he would not lay a hand her again, she scratch both side of his face. And she told him, let that be the last time he hit her, and that there will no next time. Same thing happen to me. My ex slap me, because i told him to go find a job. I didn't think twice, I turn around and hit him in the face, I jumped on hit and kick his behind. We had just gotten married. After, we had moved in with his mother and again he tried to hit. I told him, sucker hit, but if you do, you better knock me out, because if you don't I will kick your behind along with your mother. I filed for divorce after 3 months. Not only did he like to hit, but he also like to fool around.
Cream, don't wait until it's too late. and don't feel that he is the only man that will love and accept you for who you are. Never believe when he tells you that no one else will love you, like he does. Get some help.

I was supposed to say, happy anniversary but since you are not happy, it might not be a happy one. I have no right to give any opinion in the matters that you shared because I am bnot married and had not any relationships like yours. I do agree with kaleegirl45. Think about what she wrote. I think she has lots of points to think about. Thank you so much cream97 for responding and sharing. Do take care, okay.
Kaleegirl45, thank you so much for sharing your experiences on cream97's case. Thank you, you are a big help. I will rate you positive. Take care =)

WOW! That is a big W.O.W 20 years is a very long time to be staying together. And two years engagement is also quiet long. Maybe both of you were really inlove and no matter what you will be together. I wish you all blessings and love as you plan for another 20 years or more of your relationship. Thank you so much for responding. Take care =)

Thank you Leateagee,
I was already in my mid 30's when I met my husband. I was ready to get married and settledown. Now I wish I could have stay single, and do more things for myself. I live with my mother until I was 37, and that was because my brother and sister always told me to stay at home with her and not to leave her alone. So I really didn't have my own life until I moved out. Finally me and my daughter found our first apartment, and even then my mother find out that I be going out and I be drinking. She still wanted to control my life. I was very upset and I told her that it's life and my place I could do anything I wanted. I'm paying my own rent. Anyway about a year later I met my husband, and the rest is history. I wish I could have had more time for me.

Hello kaleegirl45, I am not in a relationship. I am not married too nor been married. Though I am in my very early thirty's I am not worried of anything else. I do wish to have a family someday. I am too focused on my career. I am still enjoying a single life. Though my singleness nowadays are more on career-oriented unlike before it more on happy-go-lucky state. LOL. Thank you so much for asking. You seem to be a very interesting person. Do take care okay. =)

Wow, its a far gap. You have not so new story but its interesting. It is your life. You have to decide. If there is no love anymore, why stay...but if you are staying for a different reason, it's still up to you. Thank you so much for responding. Take care =)

wow, do you think it has anything to do with her age? Do you and her go out and have a good time? why is it that it's borning, if you don't mind me asking. I can understand what your saying. See, my husband is 40 I'm 55, He is always working, I'm always at home I get bored of being here. And he always tired. He'll take me to the casinos once in a awhile. So, now I go out with my sister, daughter or stay home. So if you are happing the same problem, you're better off looking for love somewhere else.

I have been with my husband now 17 years. i dated him for about a year. We're doing okay, We have our ups and downs and I often think about getting divorce. If I do it will probably be after my daughter graduates from high school. I just feel that I lost myself, I don't feel like that person I used to be. I don't if this has to do with age, or is it because I've been married all these years.

I have not much experience in terms of married life but I guess, its up to you to decide. If you feel happy and not being cheated as a married human being, go on with that case. If you feel that you are not growing or anything that a married life should be, a second thought is advisable...though you need to think of the consequences and challenges that you'll pass/face through once you do a certain decision in your life. Thank you so much for responding. Take care =)

Hello leateagee: Yes I am in a relationship. His name is John and we have been together for 5 years now. Our relationship is not where we want it to be but prayerfully it will get there and it is due to family issues on my part.

Nope I don't. I just turned 16 and started to really grow up. What I mean is get better at talking to people, being funny, not being insecure and needy, and now I can bounce back from problems relatively easy.

i am in a relationship now, we just celebrated our 1 year at the end of june. We are doing ok, she has hurt me a lot, but her last relationship was rough, and i have a hard time giving up on people, slowly she has been getting better and as long as she is getting better i see no reason to end it. Not sure if we will be together forever, i hope so, when she is doing good she is awesome to be around, we always have fun together, and there is so much potential in her ready to come out once she gets over some road blocks.
