Well, my boyfriend just got his bachelors degree, and I want to get him a nice present. He is the geeky type of guy, just like me, and the problem is that it seems that he has all the gadgets and computer equipment he needs. Scanner, printer, iPod, the latest computer hardware, digital camera, TV card, you name it, he's got it. He even has some things he doesn't even need or use at all, like a memory card reader.
Another thing that is bugging me is if I get him something non-computer related, there is big possibility that he would not like it.
Anyone has any suggestions for some not so usual gadget that I could get him?

Hello tech,
How about picture frame with your picture in his table? LOL! HE has everything as you have said and for me, anything even if not computer related as long as it is coming from you, he will appreciate it!
Or you can also consider a rack where he can arrange all his things in a table!

That reminds me he recently got into this photo taking craze, so maybe not the traditional photo frame, but a digital one. Also the rack is pretty useful. With so many things he has, his table is very cluttered. It will help him clean up all that mess. Thanks a bunch

Sorry I am responding so late. Haven't been on myLot lately.
To answer you, he is not the romantic type, but he surprises me sometimes with romantic gestures. He does like to dance, but he has a problem with finding good clubs. Clothes and perfumes are out of the question. He likes to buy those kind of things by himself. He never likes what others buy for him, and he will never agree to take him shopping.

Both are great ideas, but I am afraid he wouldn't like them. The only pen he has ever used is a CD marker, and about the photo album, well maybe if the photos were Harry Potter style and move all around the album :). Still wonderful gift suggestions and definitely worth trying. Who knows, he might surprise me and really like them. Thanks

My partner got the same.he got all what he needed in computer he got even too much. And he doesnt really like someother things. But i want to give him a gift that he can always remember me.His first birtday that we been together i bought him a sport eye glasses from Fubo( his wearing glasses). The second year i bought watch from fossil, he is not that kind of guy who is always looking on the clock and he forget time many times. So i tried to buy a gift that he can used. The 3rd year i bought him 24 karrat gold necklace so everytime he wear it he always remember me.
And this year i am thingking about to buy something useful so he doesnt need to shave anymore using razor blade i want to buy the cool skin shaver that he can use in the shower.
Think something that he always use, or things that its very useful to him that can give him some memorable while using it.Think what he is interested for? What he is doing everyday?if you buy something can he use it wisely and often? That kind of questions you have to remember to buy a gift..Believe me its working...
Have a nice day and goodluch finding gift...
Greetings from Che!

Hi Chej. Looks like you and your boyfriend have a great bond between each other. Maybe I should get him something less "fun" and "interesting" from gadgets and computers. I know he would appreciate it as it is a gift from me. After all, it is the thought that counts. Thanks for your reply

Get him tickets for some appropriately geeky event, or take him on a nice relaxing get-away. After all, he has just spent years working on getting his degree; something that would allow him to relax a bit might be just the ticket.

We are already on a holiday in his summer house. Also my mother is planning to fund a vacation for the two of us probably in the Tunisian Republic.
Going to a geeky event would be a great gift and most importantly a fun way to spend some time together. Unfortunately the only geeky event here in Greece, or at least in our area, is the computer expo, which is not until September/October. That's a bit too long waiting time :(. Anyway, thanks for the reply.
