Growing up in Milwaukee I got to see both and for me I think that the NL is a much more interesting game to watch. Strategy is so much more important in this league.

As a lifelong Pirates fan, I have to agree, the NL is more interesting to watch However, living in the Los Angeles area I have become quite a fan of the Angels. Watching them play is very interesting as the manager Mike Scoscia, a veteran of the Dodgers, manages in much the same way as an NL manager. He likes to play small ball and manufacture runs any way he can. But, overall, I'd pick the NL any day! Tell me Brewers person from Milwaukee...how come them Brewers are always so tough against the Pirates?!

Thank you for the response, I'm not really sure why, for some reason the brewers just seem to hit off the pirates pretty well.

Sadly, I have noticed this. they really do seem to have a great time hitting the Pirates pitching staff. Unfortunately, so do lots of other teams

I think the AL just because they score a lot more runs than in the NL. Also i think that the AL has a lot better teams than the NL as proved in interleague play.

I am a hardcore Rockies fan so naturally I like and prefer the NL more than the NL. I agree with you bigbudz that there is more strategy in the NL. I think it brings another dynamic to the game. Pitchers are athletes too and so they should be able to run the bases. I like the process of using the PH and incorporating double switches when a manager feels necessary. It also gives more opportunity for bench players to play, where as in the AL, with the DH, a bench player will really only get time if another player gets hurt. I also think NL has a little emphasis on defense and small ball, where the AL is more offense oriented with the long ball, and being a defensive minded player myself, I like the NL.

My first favorite teams were and still are The Mets and The Dodgers, so I love, love the National League.I believe that all pitcher should have to hit. I lik to see a guy bunt for a hit. I love that the guys know there are other ways to win a game than just hitting homeruns. I love it.

I personally like watching the American League more than the National League. Granted, not by much, but the DH Really adds power and home runs to the American League game. I would have to agree though, there is a lot more strategy in the National League game. With all of the pinch hitting for pitchers, it really makes a manager's job difficult. But still, big bats and home runs are more important to viewers than strategy in most cases, and thats why I like watching American League baseball more than NL baseball.
