New Human "Mad Cow" Disease in US?

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/7497867.stm I was beginning to think this disease had gone away,but it seems not..It seems There may be a new strain of the "Mad Cow" (bovine) or CJD (Human) Disease in the US..Have You seen or heard anything of this before now?

Not just caused from Meat. I'm in Australia and this here is almost non existent it's that rare. My father passed away last year from CJD, which was 5 months after his diagnosis, The changes in him over those months was absolutely astonishing and heart breaking. As far as i'm concerned it's one of the worst way for a person to live their final months and let alone die, not knowing who you are or the people around you, and if you do, not being able to communicate with them the pain or discomfort or what you even want or need.

Unless people stop consuming human meat and organs it will never get purged out of the gene pool. Likewise, there needs to be a stricter policy for butchered meat regardless of where it is being processed.
