Whenever my spouse leaves for work, I'm always sure
to give him a kiss and say, "I love you!"
Sometimes, I remind him of the various things
we need from the store that he can purchase the
next morning on his way home.
How do you say goodbye to your spouse or significant
other when they leave for work?

I think its special to him that i wake up and give him a kiss everyday... some times i have to wake up with him so i can take him to work since we only have one car too... Which i have to wake up at like 5 in morning.. I can't to it, its so hard i don't know how he does it... So i just like to wake up and kiss him its like a reward for doing his job everyday...

I actually don't say anything to him as he leaves for work. Mostly because it is 5:30 in the morning and I'm fast asleep. Sometimes I'm up if the baby is up or if I have to get up to wake him up. That alarm could be on top of his head going off and sometimes I don't think he would hear it. But if I am awake when he leaves I tell him that I love him and I'll see him when he gets home. If there is something he has to do after work I'll remind him of that too.

When my spouse was still here (he works abroad now), just like you, I give a kiss. And I say "I love you", "Take care", and "Come home early".

I'm a big believer in saying "I love you". My husband leaves for work really early in the AM but he will wake me and we both say the "I love you's" and give the smoochy smooches. I always call him when I wake up a few hours later just to make sure he made it to work okay. Honestly, I call him several times during the day just to tell him I love him!

Goodness!! Just made me realize that we've got so busy that I usually rush out (I'm the first to leave) shouting to my husband who is usually in the bathroom then. I try to get my little one to say 'Bye-bye' to daddy and maybe a little kiss from the little one to daddy (if daddy is not in the bathroom).
Even when I was staying home, my husband would most often than not leave without so much as a 'goodbye'. I wouldn't even realize he had left till a little while later when I try talking to him about something. Now how rude is that...I've had so many arguments on that and he hasn't learnt!

I always made sure I said I love you. Just in case something happens and it is too late to tell him. He knows I love him, but he likes to hear it several times a day, and so do I. Or I should say, so did I. I have left him about 5 months ago but we still speak on the phone several times a week. He is having a really hard time accepting that it is over and since I still love him, I talk to him often and try to make it a little easier for him. We love each other, just can't live together anymore. We have too strong of beliefs to continue our relationship even after being together for 19 years. Are biggest problem is his gambling and he lost everything we had, over a 5 year period. I can't accept that it is a sickness since we are in our 50's and have nothing. Because of his gabmling we lost our home and my car and all of our RRSP's and every penny we worked so hard to save. We have gone for councelling, but he can't seem to stop himself and since I can't live that way anymore I had to leave.

I tend to leave for work first, but we always kiss, and say "have a good day at work" and "talk to you later". I had also got into the habit of waving as I drove away.
However, about 2 weeks ago, my husband made a new back gate out of wooden panels, instead of the wrought iron one we had before. Now I can't see the kitchen window through the gate, because it is made of wooden panels and there are no gaps. So I can't wave goodbye as I drive off.
I miss my morning routine of waving to him in the kitchen window. I must remember to wave as I walk down the path, but the habit of getting into the car is too ingrained.

Well my hubby leaves early in the morning so I usually just snore at him. He always leans down and kisses my forhead or rubs my head before he leaves but I usually sleep right thru it.

I try to get up every day before my sig other leaves. Even if I'm on vacation- I love the quiet morning time with him. I always tell him I love you and give him a big hug and kiss-- no matter where either of us are going. Even if it's just to the store quick. I think it's important to show love all the time. Keeps the romance there.

I'm usually sleeping when my husband leaves for work. He will kiss me goodbye, but sometimes I don't remember it. I had to ask him the other day if he said goodbye to me because I didn't remember.
