That's a BIG what IF to think about. Armageddon /Bruce Willis was a movie that got me to thinking about this very question you have asked. Uh, my "faith" tells me that one day a major turning point is going to occur. Through TV, I watch the natural disasters happen and cringe inside. Luckily I have never experienced such things. I'd like to think that since I have no child to "carry on" my genes, that when I die, that will be it. But for some reason, I believe that this whole thing we call life will go on and on and on... Who knows? I Guess I'll See You Next Lifetime - Erika Badu song I wouldn't want to be totally alone in this world... would you?

This makes me think of the movie Left Behind. If you don't know it it is a movie about the revulation when the beginning of the end starts and all believers dissapear and the rest are left behind, and even though there are may theory's on how the end will come this is my beliefe, but regardless of what situation I found myself in I would probably be terrified and so very upset to see so many people suffering. I would probably hide somewhere and cry honestly. Kidna like when I was a kid and I woke up from a bad dream and heard something and thought someone was in the house I would hide underneath the cover hoping if something happened to me I wouldn't see it coming.

I'd probably panic like everyone else in that situation, lol. There's not much a person can do at a time like that. There's no use trying to comfort others because what would you say? What could you say? I just hope we never have to experience it in our lifetime.

I think the better question is, What could you do? I think the only positive thing you could do is pray. I think it depends on how long it takes for the world to end. Will it be over in the blink of an eye or will it take hours or days or even longer to end? I'm not sure I would be able to do anything. I would probably be paralyzed by the horror of it all.

By that point, not a lot, I'd imagine. Given the Earth will be destroyed in about 5 billion years when the sun changes sequence, I'd be getting on a bit by then. Probably even sitting quietly would take it out of me.

There's a HUGE movement in the Netherlands right now that the world will end on December 12, 2012 (12/12/12). Something about the Mayan calender and the way it cannot go past that date. Dutch people are already buying survival supplies because they're concerned that the stores will be sold out if they wait much longer. Guess we know what they'll do.

I believe in the Bible, and it tells us that the world as it is will indeed end. (Not the planet itself, but the messed-up society that lives on it.) But there's going to be a great crowd of survivors and I plan on being one of them. There's a well-known scripture "The meek shall inherit the earth". And Proverbs 2:22 says how the wicked will be torn away from the earth, and the righteous will be left remaining. There are countless other ones too... It's bound to be a scary time. Jesus spoke of it as the greatest tribulation the earth has ever known, so it will be more amazing than the flood of Noah's day. But just like when you are at the dentist, in the chair you can comfort yourself by telling yourself that in half an hour it will be just a memory, and you can get thru it like that... in the same way, knowing that there will soon be paradise conditions here to enjoy makes it easier to put up with all the ghastly stuff that's going on in the world these days!
