Because Christians don't seem to think you are? What are your thoughts?
I asked a question earlier and most of the Christians make it sound like you guys aren't Christian. I know as well as most of you that if it wasn't for you guys there would be no Christianity as we know it. What are your thoughts ? And if you aren't Christians what are you?

I am not a Catholic, but I do consider Catholics to be very much Christian. In fact, bulk of the Christian in the world are Catholics. That's the way I see it. But of course I won't be surprised if I come across a person who considers oneself to be an atheist and yet still call oneself Catholic or Christian or Baptist etc. Even for a moment there is no doubt, at least for me, that Catholics are Christian.

Catholics are in the mainstream of Christianity, as are the various Eastern Orthodox churches. The Protestant sects that exist primarily in the United States are outside of the mainstream. They are local heresies from the point of view of people in the mainstream.

Hmmm, well that's news to me. I'm Catholic and definitely consider myself to be a Christian...what else would I be? I think there are too many people trying to decide what other people are and, in my humble opinion, defining yourself is not up to anyone but you.
