hi roshand8 I take a capsule of omega 3 every day and I
hope it does help my blood pressure as I am on three
'blood pressure medications as it is. I also use garlic in
cooking a lot as it is also helpful for high blood pressure.

Lets hope. I take that as a precaution because HBP runs in the family.

Hi Roshand 8
Omega-3 fatty acids neede for the proper functioning of our neurological systems and have a critical role in many functions in the body. Consuming sea fish which contains omega - 3 fatty acids will reduce the risk of heart disease too.

Thank you for the information. I was just diagnosed with high blood pressure. I am on medication and am trying to change my diet. It has lowered some but not as much as I would like. I will try the fish oil to see if that helps. I have been looking for ways to get it lower then what it is now. It was realy high when I was first diagnosed so I have a long way to go. Thank you for the info.

Hello Zion,Fatty fish like mackerel, lake trout, sardines, tuna, salmon and herrings are high in Omega-3s.People without coronary heart disease can eat fatty fish twice a week and those who with coronary heart disease can consume 1g per day, those who need to lower triglycerides 2-4g per day.
Those who taking more than 3grams of omega-3 fatty acids from capsules should do so only under physician's care.High intake could cause excessive bleeding in some people.Keep healthy and thank you for your respond.cheers...
