Weddings and kids

Would it be too weird of me to want my kids as part of my bridal party when I do eventually have my wedding? They were in my cousin's wedding and looked so cute; here's a pix.

Absolutely not a weird idea. When you are married to someone the children are in essence marrying that person as a new parent. My best friend got married this summer to a man with two young children. They had the children stand with them during the ceremony...the little girl wore a beautiful white dress and his son wore a cute little tuxedo. After they had said their I DO's they worked it out with the minister to ask the children if they took the new mother to be thier step-mom and if the step-mom would take them as if they were her own children....it was precious. I think that children should be included in this major event so they know that they are truly going to become a family. Good Luck and yes they are adorable.

thank you for the response, but my husband (we got "legally" married no wedding)is the father of the kids. I just want to have a wedding,cuz I had twins at 16 and missed out on my Quincenera (sweet 15), and prom, so I at least want the wedding, so I have that memory, but I don't want ppl to think that having my daughters as bridesmaids, and the youngest a flower girl, and my son the ring bearer as corny. I just dream of the day we can actually afford it.

I see nothing wrong with what you want. I didnt get the wedding I want so my hubby told me that I can have the wedding I want but it going to be later on. I probably will have children. I plan to have them in my wedding. I think it really good idea to include the children in your wedding.

I say have your kids as part of your bridal party! They will love it, I saw a tv show where the children were part of the wedding, and included in the vows!
