Fish is a good source of protein and doesn't have the high saturated fat that fatty meat products do.Fatty fish like Mackerel, lake trout, herring sardines, tuna and salmon are high in two kinds of Omega-3s fatty acids,EPA and DHA.Eating fatty fish two times a week is good.
Omega-3s fatty acids reduce the chances of sudden cardiac death, reduce the chance of having a first heart attack, risk of stroke,Lower blood triglycerides, reduce inflammation, reduce arthritis pain and modestly reduce high blood pressure
People without coronary heart disease can eat fatty fish at least twice a week.
Patients with documented coronary heart disease can consume 1g of EPA+DHA per day preferably from fatty fish
Patients who needs to lower triglycerides 2 to 4 grams of EPA+DHA per day

Not to mention I just Love Salmon. Sardines and Tuna are awesome but for some reason I only eat them once in a while.
