keeping chickens

LMAO - this is the funniest topic i've seen. i have no idea about chicken laying eggs or how to ensure the best egg laying...but i can offer some advice...keep their area as CLEAN AS POSSIBLE. oh man, chicken poop smells HORRIBLE. lol. i'm serious though. good luck with your chickens and your eggs. ;)

Well I think it sounds way fun! I'm moving to Virginia on the first of the year and we're going to be buying two chickens...just for fun. I'll be researching online though...if they're going to be laying eggs we might as well utilize them, right? That's probably the best information I could give you... research on the net. You'll find SO much information. You may even be able to narrow your question down and repost something more specific on here - a whole new topic! YAY. Lol. ;)

We have 5 chickens and have been getting no eggs from them at all lately. For us it is autumn, with a month until winter, so this might have something to do with it.
