Ok, so for those of you who haven't already heard, Bon Jovi is giving a free concert in Central Park today in affiliation with the All Start MLB game on Tuesday. Two free tickets were given out to easch person who was lucky enough to get them.
The thing is this is a free concert given by Bon Jovi and MLB as a gift to the coommunity and some people who received the FREE tickets are trying to make a profit and selling them on ebay for ridiculous prices of $600 or more...
I think it is terrible and these people should be ashamed to be asking for money fo rsomething they didn't even pay fo, for that matter no one had to pay for.
I am excited and just glad that I have tickets and will be seeing him in concert later today but my question for all of you, is would you be willing to pay a ridiculous amount of money for a ticket that you KNOW the seller did not pay for?
Do you think they should be punished for this and how so?

This is something people get really cross about, people selling FREE tickets on ebay and making a fortune on them. People that do sell something they got free are not ashamed and have no conscience, that is why they do it, they do not care that what they are doing is considered wrong by some people.
I am pretty lucky in that most of the things on ebay that I shop for I know the price that it is bought for by the seller. If I want something and the price is ridiculously high then I will not buy it. Same as bidding, I know what a reasonable price is for something so I wont buy or bid for it if I think it is not a fair price. Well enjoy your concert anyway!

me too and I am both a seller and a buyer on ebay and I would never dishonestly list a price on something. I am selling stuff right now and i even looked back at the price and wondered if it was too low because I am afraid of listing it too high and not getting any bidders.

Yes I am a seller on ebay and I know exactly where you are coming from as I am the same. The only trouble with putting it too low though is that sometimes it can backfire and end up going dirt cheap through lack of bidders! But I used to hate putting things on too high as it did not seem right somehow!

Actually, now i may be wrong. but i think that that iss aginst the law.... if not the the law. i think that if whoever idea it was to give tickets for free was ti find out. he could possibly take them to court and sue....
but again im not sure...
i would not pay for any tickets period.costing 600 i wouldnt even pay for any that cost 100...
and if the concert is free i dont understand why there are even tickets at all? unless given over the radio's in other staes for people to travel to see.... i dont know.. but i wish the best for you at the concert:) have a good time take pics...

I think it is out of control and just not right. If you got tickets and cant use them just give them to someone who will. The thought of having a few extra bucks in your pocket might make you consider it but when you realize what your doing its wrong! I am actually going to be at the concert tonight! And cant wait to jam out to some Bon Jovi on the great lawn! I
