Can on-line friendship be real?

How much would you trust people you know through internet but you have never met them face to face? I just wonder cause many of my friends spend a lot of time talking to people they have never seen. What do you think? Would it be easier for you to tell them your biggest secret or would you rather tell them your bank account. I know it is a bit extreme but still, what do you think?

Absolutely. And that really depends on if you are both being sincere or not. Sharing secrets to someone miles away is way easier too. I find that I've gotten more out of friendships online than I have away from the computer. I've been able to meet more people like me instead of having to fit a mold to be around some people that I know. No one should get info to your bank account, lol. That's way too personal.

Yes on-line friendship can be real. In fact, my best friend is the one I met online and she is a very good person. I meet her also, we chat almost everyday and we are the solutions for each other's problems. Whenever I face a problem related to my love-life, I do take advices with her and whenever she faces a problem related to her love-life, she does approach me for useful advices. We always consider each other's advices :)

I dont think anyone who are your friends online are bad..But the point is you dont now them in person..most of them would actually be flirting or hiding their real identity or their real intension and under these circumstances its highly risky to share a secret with an online friends..but you can share your feelings but not that you actually share with a true friend..

You can never be sure. The only time you hear from them are when they are sitting at their computers typing. What are they doing the rest of the time? They type a question here, and then what? Do they lose your temper easily? Do they cheat, lie, swear or steal? How do they treat their family? Try something today...When you are out, in the grocery store, or wherever you may go, just take a few moments and focus on a few of the people you see... The strange lady standing next to you in the check out line talking to herself.... or the man who is swearing at his kids in the car parked next to yours... Those people could go home and type nice little messages to their online friends after living their real lives.... I do that little 'test' myself everytime I'm out somewhere. It really makes you think about how much you want to share with your 'online friends'. Another thing...next time you are reading the local newspaper, look at all the people who got arrested and what they did....I'm sure THEY were lots of people's online friends too before they went to jail. I'm not saying everyone is bad! I'm just saying EVERYONE is HERE!
