Music is such an emotional treat for me, and there are certain songs that just really TOUCH me, you know? What songs makes you feel alive or make you feel connected when you hear them?
"This One's For the Girls" by Martina McBride always reminds me of my mom and sisters and makes me smile and feel happy to be female and proud of myself.
"Jack and Diane" by John Cougar Mellencamp is a song I can't resist turning up and getting into, even though it's way older than I am! Something about it just makes me smile!
"Wide Open Spaces" by the Dixie Chicks is what I used to call "my song" because there were times growing up that I would listen to it and just feel like they were talking about me! The struggles of growing up and finding your place in the world. Still gives me goosebumps when I hear it.
So what about you!? :)

I could go on for hours listing songs I love...there are just too many! For me it's easier to list bands than individual songs.
My top favorites are Coldplay, Tori Amos, Moby, U2, Pink Floyd...and many more I can't think of from the top of my head!
I'm also a sucker for Carly Simon, the beatles, bread, simon & garfunkle...
And also that little song called Freebird!!!!

I know what you mean. Music can touch all aspects of the emotional spectrum. Many of the songs by KISS, such as 'Rock and Roll All Night' and 'Crazy Nights' have the kind of energy that can make me feel alive or upbeat. Ozzy Osbourne's 'Crazy Train' and Van Halen's 'Jump' also have the same effect. One song that always inspires and brings out the patriot in me is Lee Greenwood's 'God Bless the USA.'

Oh...! On that note, I love "Proud to be an American". That song gives me chills and sends shivers up my spine. I remember being at a fireworks display and this song came over the speaker system and the whole crowd started singing. Such an amazing moment! :)

I also like Crazy by Aerosmith! Takes me back to when I was in junior high and a boy that I liked really loved that song haha. Weird how songs can remind us of such obscure things

There are a lot of songs that can make me feel alive. In fact, some of them can even strike me with different emotions.
