Mylot has just gotten a face lift!!!!

I'm one who loves change - if it makes sense or saves time or money. Or if it causes no harm and makes life interesting. For instance, my hubby always calls before he leaves work, and I always answer differently. He never knows what I'll say. But back to the myLot changes. I really don't care where stuff is located or what they call it or if they changed what they called it. That doesn't bother me a bit. But I HATE having the words strung all the way across the page instead of in columns. What possessed them to do that? If you're taking classes in basic web site design, they still recommend columns. They're easier on the eyes. They organize better. And people are used to them. In my opinion, this change - strining the words all the way across the page - makes the site look much less professional.

The new look will take some time to get used to but I must admit it looks better. I'm still a newbie so it's really not a big deal for me with the change. I do feel sorry for those who have been on here for months or years. As long they don't change the fact that we get paid, I'm fine with it. Maybe the change will mean members get paid more for their posts. Wouldn't that be nice?!

Will someone from Mylot admin team follow this discussion? Anyway, if they do not do so, I have no problem. Now here is my observation about the new look: #1) Profile name should be in bold font, with a small profile image. #2) The link for new discussion should have a different color. #3) Top navigation links should have small image icons, instead of text link. #4) Most importantly, and MUST DO change, the image size for 'My Interest' should be identical. #5) Also it still lacks 'rounded corner' - so that may be included. #6) 3D style may be applied to Form's TEXTAREA. #7) Link color for header and footer section may be altered. #8) It still looks bit sloppy, instead of being SMART. I like this community, I think a lot of Mylot, and there are my recommendations. Anyway, I am always in favor of changes as it always adds a freshness.

I'm getting used to the new lay out except I can't figure out how to start a new discussion. I hevve checked every tab that I can find but I just seem to be missing it. Maybe you can help me. Thanks in advance.

I liked the stats they had that is no longer there - members details, where they were from, how active they were, top referrers and so on. It was fun to see the site grow. But it looks good and it works. No bugs that I can see so far which is a credit to the programmers. Well done.

I was just thinking that i go away for a day and everything changes. So far i havent really noticed much for changes other than the new tabs and the orientation of my sidebar to the top. Are there others?

I love the new facelift! But boy did it take me a while to get used to it. I'm still startled every time I open the home page. I really love the way they set everything up in tabs. It just seems so much easier to deal with now.

I'm very surprised by the changes of MyLot Website. It looks similar to Twitter, but you can type more characters into it. I missed visiting this Website so long and now I'm visiting it for the first time since I took several months away from MyLot. I'm glad MyLot made a change for the layout and content. I hope that my old comments are saved on this MyLot Website. I see that earnings had disappeared because it was a struggle for me to make comments by one penny, which was complicated.

I dig the new change. So far, so good. As long as I don't encounter any probs ... it's alright by me. =)

I am one who does not like change so I am not likeing the new layout I prefer the old layout much better. I suppose I will get used to it after a few months it will just have to grow on me. I liked the interest categories on the side alot better than I do at the top but oh well.

I was sick and I haven't really been on much the last two days. I did notice it last night but this is my first chance to really check it out. It's quiet different! Of course, it's going to take me some time getting used to it but so far it seems okay. I'd have to look around a bit more and get back into the hang of things before I have a definite opinion. I think I'm liking the tabs and the discussions at the top now.

I know alot of people don't like changes but in this case MyLot did a great job I think on the change in here. I remember back when people were asking for some certain things and MyLot saw some of those and took it to make a change to the website. Yes it will take time to get used to but hey they tried we should all be happy I know I am. Give it time everyone will get used to it. I like the new layout alot better.

I am liking the facelift. I think that the site now has a better look and feel; plus, the layout makes it more user friendly. Overall, I would say that it is quit appealing.

WEll I like it so far bella but i haven't totally explored it yet so not found anything I either love or hate! lol Hope Friday was just perfect! xxx
