Has anybody used liquid cooling for their computer? How effective is it? Is it dangerous, in terms of leaks? How does the liquid remain cold? Does it need to be recharged? Thanks for any info.

Hi there ak3600, I have used liquid cooling on my most recent pc. It isnt dangerous, i have never had any leaks and i have had this pc for 3 years now and i have upgraded it. The liquid does provide a great cooling system compared to air cooled, You need to top up the water ever month, i think its a great cooling system especially for high end or overclocked pcs

if you don't plan on overclocking/overdriving your computer, I'd recommend the fan & heat sink. It's easier to maintain and setup and it's a lot cheaper. I swear that the water cooler is good too, but one time it leaked because part of it melted after leaving the computer on way too long and another problem with it is that the minerals in the water built up over time so it was harder to cool and to clean..... It didn't kill my computer but you wouldn't really want this mess.
