The Mommy Test

I was out walking with my 4 year old daughter. She picked something up off the ground and started to put it in her mouth. I asked her not to do that.
"Why?"
"Because it's been laying outside and it is dirty and it probably has germs."
At this point she looked at me with total admiration and asked, "Wow! How do you know all this stuff?"
Ooh, I was thinking quickly, "...all moms know this stuff. Um, it's on the Mommy Test. You have to know it, or they don't let you be mommy."
We walked along in silence for 2 or 3 minutes, but she was evidently pondering this new information.
"OH...I GET IT!" she beamed, "So if you flunk, you have to be the Daddy!"
HAHAHAHAHA!!! This didn't happen to me personally but I thought it was cute and a thing that show that kids really do say the darndest things. Have your children ever said anything that made you just burst out laughing because of something they said? What was it that they said? Please share your funny stories with me :D

The other day we were playing football in the yard. We like to mess with my oldest and hit him with the ball. He's a bit of a clown so he'll fall and act all goofy. Well I began pretending like I was going to hit my daughter with the ball. She looks at me all cute and innocent and said "You wouldn't hit a cute little 5 year old!"
Well just for that I did! lol

Yeh that is cute, it is exactly the sort of thing a kid would think of, we used to have a TV show years ago where kids were interviewed and they would say the most amazing things, it makes you wonder what goes on in those little heads sometimes..

I had only seen reruns of that TV show!!! But I definitely do remember it being on!!! And I know I encounter this EVERY DAY especially with my 6 year old as she is just learning to make sense of most things. Thanks for the response :D

Me too!!! I think it's funny because usually it is the Daddy that does the whole 5 second rule or the "if you blow it off it won't hurt ya" type of things. Thanks for the response :D
