Hi I'm new here. I was wondering about how MyLot works. I have a few questions here which may take some of your time in answering. 1. What is the reputation star? How can you get it? 2. How do you earn? Is it merely by posting and referrals? how about making your own topics? 3. What is the earning rate per post? Does it depend on the length of your post? Thanks for the help in advance. ^_^

Welcome! The star doesn't really mean anything, not as far as earnings. If you look to the right of the discussion, there is a + and - sign, so if you get a lot of plus signs, you will get a star with a higher number, but only after you reach 100 points. You earn money on myLot by responding to discussions, and also by starting your own where other people will respond. I've written two articles about how to navigate myLot. If you'd like to see them, I have the link on my profile. Enjoy!

First off welcome to myLot! Glad you found it! 1. You will get your reputation star after you reach 100 discussions. The color of your star depends how long your responses are. A good response has 7 or more sentences. No one really knows the algorithm myLot uses to pay us. The more you participate the more you can make. You will make money off of your referrals. I have 5 referrals but they have done nothing out here. If you get a friend to join, try to help them along, so they won't feel intimidated out here. Yes, creating discussions and responding to people who respond to your discussion helps you earn money. Any other questions, just ask.

So if you post longer. Does that mean you earn more?
