I don't feel abdominal pain when I have my monthly period (I guess I am lucky not to feel it)..But what's annoying is that I really feel severe headache or worst migraine. It bothers me a lot bec. I can't concentrate to anything I do be it at work or at home.My migraine has come to worst.Even if it's not my due yet...I can still feel migraine. But what's really annoying is that if I have my monthly period..I am really affected by it.I want to bump my head on the wall,I feel agitated,I don't have the appetite to sleep,I am sensitive to noise, the light, and the smell around me.Another worst thing would be is I puke or vomit a lot if I have migraine...that's how severe it is for me.I tried Advil but it doesn't work for me anymore.Probably bec.my dosage for pain reliever is high already. My doctor advised my to take feldene flash...it's a tablet but you don't drink it..you place it under your tongue and wait till it melts...My boyfriend who is a dentist told me that the reason why you place it under your tongue bec.the effect of the message goes directly to your system...see how strong the medicine is.But I am hoping that my migraine will not get even worst bec. the next thing to ease the pain by then would be injecting the pain reliever.I know its normal to feel migraine during menstrual period but there should be something that could prevent migraine. It really ruins everything if you have a severe headache.

Yes pinks, I do experience having migraines when ever I have monthly period. Or worst, even before that time comes. I get so irritated and like you, I get so sensitive to lights, noise and the smell. But I don't depend on medicines, I just let it be. I take a rest and lock my self in the room and never let anyone go inside to further no harm. LOL. Oh, I don't just experience migraine when ever I have my monthly period I do also experience dysmenorrhea associated with leg cramps. Oh that really hurts.

Well if I only have the luxury to sleep and hide in my room...why not.But I go to work and my job is a stressful job.Just imagine being a tech support for internet connection problems then you have customers who shouts at you or very hard headed customers who don't follow you then you have migraine...wow...that's a lot...it's hard to be calm when you don't feel good bec. of migraine.I also feel migraine even before my period..i believe its already a sickness for me and it needs to be treated..sad is that it's not covered in our health card.lol.the scan is expensive.lol.Im just lucky not to experience dysmenorrhea associated with migraine. ;p

Hi pinks...just like you, I go through that agonizing pain every month. Does feldene work? I take zomig, it works really fast but it costs Php200 per tablet, but it really works for me. Try not to skip meals and to have enough sleep...that would really help.

Yup it really works...I mean feldene really works..expensive though.LOL.But I don't take it regularly...though I was advised by the doctor to take it once a day..due to other reasons..Your medicine is more expensive than feldene. The doctor told me that any medicine taken and placed under your tongue is strong bec. it goes to the blood right away.If you will observe also..those people who have hypertension or highblood their meds are drop or placed under the tongue and it works fast bec.it goes directly to your blood bec. of the veins or whatever..probably the tissue under our tongue is thin, maybe that's why.If the feldene doesn't work next to it will be injecting the pain reliever. That's scary for me...I hate syringes.LOL.If oral meds doesn't work next would be sublingual(like taking feldene)then injections.

We suffer the same affliction. I'm having migraine bouts twice a month, before and after my period. What I do is that before the attack comes to its full, I take flanax right away, it can't eliminate the pain totally but it is lessened. I stopped working because of it. My day is really ruined when I'm on it. It's effect on me last for about 2 weeks every month. It really is annoying. Hope we get over it. Good day!

That's my case also.I observed that when I was young about 14 years old I started having migraine..from simple headache to migraine.I was bad before because I used to drink pain killer and if there's no effect I drink another one after 2 hours that's why my dosage now is high.sigh.It ruined my day as well.I am sensitive to smell, noise and light.I don't want people to talk to me and sometimes it makes me puke/vomit if the pain is really not tolerable.

The actions of a female hormones on blood vessels in the lining of the womb during the menstrual cycle is of great relevance to migraine.Don't get stress, try yoga, exercise and meditation.Try application of an ice pack to the head or put your feet in hot water or a hot bath can be beneficial.Take care and cheers..

Well I guess my body is already used to painkillers and I can't take the simple pain reliever tablets and I have to use the tablet that should be placed under the tongue.Even if I don't have my period I constantly gets migraine and it's alarming already...sad to say the neuro-test is not covered by our health card provided by our office.sigh.

My girlfriend get's really bad headaches at that time of the month, She doesn't really get mood swings or anything like that, Just these realllly bad headaches... It's the same when she is on her birth controll pills too! At the time when she would usually have her period, she starts to get these headaches that annoy her so much - It gets on my nerves as I'd like nothing more than to help her... but Not even headache tablets work when she has thesedamn headaches!
It seems to me that if you are unfortuneatly affected by these headaches during your period... it's just the way it is!

I've never had a migraine, but you might be onto something about the headache I'm suffering from right now. I wasn't sure were it came from, but I did start my period yesterday, so that might well be what is causing me to have this problem today. Thanks for making me stop and think!

Biologically before we have our period..we feel abdominal pain or headache.I don't know why but it's true. ;p so we women are a bit grouchy if we have our period.Try to observe next. For me its my sign if I'll have my period already.I don't mark it in the calendar but I'll know if its my time to have a period if I feel terrible migraine...If for example I have migraine today...I am sure by the time I go home...I have it already and I use pads right away if I feel the headache...just to make sure.Or if I will not have it today...by tomorrow I know I will have it.

Well i get before monthly periods.. but its very rare after 6 years. I believe during monthly periods it affects the blood flow in the brain and thus causing us. We can use warm and cold towel massaging on the head and shoulders, that was best releaving.
