big strawberries

Today I was out and about wanting to get me some strawberries and thought humm I wanna go to the strawberry place and pick me some.. I guess I was just in the mood to do all that and clean them all up too... When I got there, There were so many rolls of them that I wanted the roll with all the big ones... lol Of course they wouldn't let me do that, They gave me one roll of strawberries me on one side and mom on the other... So there I was just picking away big, small, big, small... Geesh I thought I am never going to get this thing full.. So I just kept picking an about an hour passes by and finally I am done picking... I picked 22.00 worth the berries.. Do you ever just want to go and pick strawberries just because? Your bored or to have for another time?

Hi wisconsin,
that's cool...I am new here in USA and I have not experienced that! I find it very cool and exciting..I will be asking my husband and friends if we got a place near us where I can do that! LOL!

It is actually, But it seems that they have gone up in recent years.. I remember two years ago going there and getting them I didn't pay as much but today I didn't get very many for what I really paid for.. I guess I am going to have to plant my own for next year.. lol

I used to go with my mom to pick some strawberries. We used to do that every year. I have not done that since I was a kid. I do not know where to go to pick them where we have moved now. If I knew where to go, I would go pick some. I love fresh picked strawberries.

We have a few strawberry plants in my area that we can go to, but it seems that your better off just going and planting your own or buying them from a story yesterday when I picked them they told me to get it really full heaping almost and it will come to 20.00 well I did and it was well over 25.00 not that it was a problem but I only had a certain amount of money on me.. Plus the price was like 1.70 per pound and I had 1125 pounds or so the box said.. That's alot of strawberries I think...

I wish there was a place around here where I could pick strawberries. I remember Mom taking my siser and I to a stawberry patch when we were little, and we ate more than we took home. Hey, it's a nutritious snack, and we had a heck of a good time out there. I'd loe o be able to go do that again.
