Well I want to have rice for breakfast bec. I know its the most important part of the meal for the day.Heavy breakfast is like a car which is full tank and it can go miles away.As much as possible I eat heavy breakfast like a queen and eat like a pauper in the evening...so I eat a lot in the morning and eat less in the evening.how about you guys?

I would eat a nice meal with rice for breakfast especially when going work. I usually have breakfast at different times of the day. Yeah, because of weird work schedules. Just like saying it's lunch at 3:00 AM. ahahah. Aside from having a very good home cooked meal, it's less expensive.
I do eat bread at breakfast though but sometimes, I just consider them when I need to move fast and leave as early as possible. I usually eat it as a snack.

I'll be starting by monday. It's a medical insurance account. The last account I had was Verizon. We have different schedules all throughout the day. It did seem it was 24/7 for our program. It was nice. I stayed there for 2 1/2 years. I'm now looking forward to my new job.
Wow! I just have to say, a few are lucky to have a good schedule like that. Congrats! It is a good schedule compared to most. Yeah, i'll probably have the same routine again. Come in, work, break, work, lunch, work, break, work, go home. Hopefully, I could control my smoking continuously. How's your progress by the way? see 'ya!

Well I am familiar with such a saying: "Eat like a king for breakfast, a queen for lunch and a pauper for dinner." This makes sense if you are on for a heavy work the whole day which will require you to exert a lot of energy. But to me who is all day in the office seated either at my desk or at the front of my computer and making minimal moves then I believe eating heavy breakfast is not applicable. But I never skip breakfast because it is the most important meal of the day. Unlike some people who wake up feeling not hungry and have no desire to eat so they easily skipped without realizing they are depriving their body of the much needed fuels us for the day. But unlike you, I do not eat the heavy rice meal but I am always eating a healthy breakfast of either a plate of rolled oatmeal with fruits or a wholewheat bread sandwich with vegetable salad and fruits and other healthy options available in my home.
At lunch I eat just substantial meal compose of a cup of rice, veggies and fish or a white meat and fruits. Then dinner, I only eat fruits, a wholewheat toast and fruit juice no rice or any heavy stuff because my body cannot handle heavy meal during the night as I easily bloat.

I usually eat bread in the morning. Ever since I was a kid, I've always been more of a bread and pasta person. Am not really into rice because I find that there's no taste to it. I don't know. Call me weird but I'd prefer eating bread. If I do eat rice, I have to make sure that there's soy sauce in hand or something to flavor it.

oh no.. I lost my connection.. I have to type them again :(
I'm an Indonesian. In my country people eat rice for all the meal(breakfast, lunch, dinner). I think the carbohidrat from rice is good to supply our energy need.
Many people eat a lot in the morning(breakfast) and less in the night. They say that because breakfast is the most important meal of the day. well, I'm quite agree with this. In my opinion, we consume more energy in the meoning to afternoon because we do most hard activities at the time. In the night time we do less activities so we need less energy. Besides, eat a lot at night may cause fatness :)

My stomach is always a bit dleicate in the mornings so I just have toast and egg and a cup of coffee, but I guess it is better for you to have a light meal at night, and I know I should eat more rice than I do and cut back on the potatoes I guess..

Actually, surprising enough I am not a picky eater lol. All you do is when you add water to the rice, you substatue milk and sugar instead. It's very good. You don't want the milk to evaporate completely. yOU want to leave it a little soupy. so..rice...add sugar when you add milk...stir then let it do its thing. Actually I was born and raised in Ohio. I dated an Salvadorain for 6 years. He taught me.

We actually have a version of that here in the phils. but instead of milk..we use chocolate powder. It's what we call "champorado"..you can try that.About the leche arrow...ill try to cook that for my boyfriend..bec. he is not a picky eater like me.lol.

Bread (hot pan de sal) has always been our breakfast, when I was still a kid. I can remember one of my uncles, challenged me to eat five pesos worth of pan de sal. It was my favorite, so I accepted the challenge. I won so he gave me another five pesos as a reward. Well, pinks, that was more than 30 years ago, so you can't imagine how many, how big and how much those bread were.
Well anyway, I am not too much in to bread right now. I have to keep myself in better condition because of my very busy life. So after a cup of coffee in the morning, I take my breakfast in the office canteen after punching in. Of course, it's rice above all. KEEP SMILING = NEIL

Oh my gosh...I love hot pan de sal also.I can eat 20 of that esp. if it's "sunog" or slightly burnt or brown on top of the bread. If there's no rice available for breakfast...I could eat 10 breads bec. neil will stop me.lol.So for the 2 of us..we have to buy 20pieces and we have to consume 10pieces each..arghh...why do I have to share the other 10 to him...just kidding..But I'll be missing breakfast since neil will start to work on August 18th.ahh...sad.He actually learned a lot and he's a good cook already. We live together and I gained weight from 89lbs. to 98 lbs. bec. we love to eat and now that he is learning and getting and getting better in cooking...Im afraid Im gonna lose some weight by next month..bec. he won't be able to cook for me...We just had ham and bacon with rice and of course...coffee.

I guess we filipinos are used to eating rice in the morning..We are more of a rice person..but probably due to high prices for the commodities..we trim down our budget..and even the price of bread raised up and it's so small that we will need to eat a lot of bread before you can have a full stomach.;p
