Who Cooks at Your House?

Usually I make dinner, but tonight my hubby made dinner. It was soooo good. He made chicken with spinach, red peppers, fresh garlic, spices, mozzarella cheese and then served it over spaghetti. It was better than most things you'd pay $15 a plate for at a restaurant. He must be in a cooking mood today, because he also made a carrot cake for himself, lol. (I might steal a bite to see how it turned out but generally don't eat that kind of stuff very often) Who does the cooking at your house? I usually do, but it's nice to know my hubby will do it from time to time too - and it's always good when he does!

I am the cook in our house. My hubby trusted all these things to me. I don't know much of the food he likes he just said, whatever I want to cook he will eat. Oh!! I am always experimenting. He is an American and I am Asian so, I don't know much of the food he likes to eat. Of course I know mine very well. He would not suggest also, he wants me to research... lol.. I was challenged.. He is not complaining whatever I will serve in the table but he would really tell you if the food taste good or not though he would eat it. Anyway, I have some ideas from my experiment.. I'll mark those recipes I made that he likes to eat. It;s pretty challenging.

my husband, he loves to cook. whatever my taste bud prefers, he will cook it for me, even we're late coming home from work, he will find something for us to eat. sometimes in the middle of the night while im half a sleep, he will come up with short ribs and mashed potato, or pork adobo and teriyaki rice. during weekend, he already have a menu what to serve. then, whenever we go to barnes and noble to check out some cook book, whatever i point at, he will check it out and master it better than the picture and taste is far excellent. he's the best... that is why whenever we have a outdoor party in my job, he belongs to our group, my whole department knows how great he can be. not only with his great cooking ability, but attitude as well... regarding myself, im a cook too. if he request for me to cook, i will whipped something out but that is rare cause im quite a busy lady. sometimes we do extra money when we cater, that is our side line.

I now live with my 25 year old daughter, we share an apartment together and I do most of the cooking. If I wasn't here to do it, she wouldn't eat properly. As she was living on her own for 2 years before I moved here, Calgary, she didn't cook much and she had gained a few pounds. She only cooked for herself maybe once or twice a week. Now I live here I cook just about every day. She still does do the cooking once or twice a week to give me a break now and then. But when she cooks she cooks simple things that don't take much work. When I was living with my hubby, up to three months ago, he did most of the cooking. I would cook our suppers during the week, but not always, sometimes he did it, and on the weekends he did all of the cooking. He loved to cook and so he wanted to do it and I let him.

I know when i was living on my own i rarely cooked other than making my son something quick & easy like chicken nuggets. I lived with my mom for awhile and she did most of the cooking, but mostly because she hated how i cooked, lol. I didn't know you aren't living with your hubby anymore - hope everything is okay with that.

I do most of the cooking at my house but sometimes my boyfriend does and he's pretty good at it. Some things he's even better at making than me.

Both my parents cook, But my mom usually does the cooking. If my dad is in the mood to cook he cooks for all of us, or if it's a barbecue he does it and my mom does the other stuff.

I usually do, since I take care of certain things being a stay at home dad. But my wife does the baking, its her thing. I really don't like to bake so we're not pushing each other out of the way or anything. Sometimes she prepare stuff but I'll cook it. We have a system and it works for us. I'm glad your hubby got in there and whipped up some good stuff, let him know you liked it, us guys need to know that we can feed our families, it makes us feel more appreciated.

I think baking is usually more a woman's thing, though my dad always baked the xmas cookies & pies since his mom used to make him do it as a kid (he was the youngest of 7 kids & that was "his job"!) You are right, it's always good to show appreciation :)

I am now doing my final year engineering. I live with my friends away from my house. Me and my friends cook here. In my home, my mom will do all the cooking. I help her(some times) but most of the time she does all the cooking.

My wife is best in cooking chapati, cake, rice, and others. Whenever am left with Children behind I will not cook I only take them to a hotel.

Unless it's Ramen noodles, I cook dinner :) My husband doesn't really cook. I'm more of the kitchen guru in our household. I love trying new recipes and trying to incorporate new ingredients, while still on a budget! Your dinner sounds delicious, by the way :)

I usually do the cooking, but sometimes my husband does it. That is really nice because I'd get tired of it if I had to do it every day. He usually cooks once a week, and at least once a week we have something simple or leftovers, so I get a couple nights off every week. Sometimes we cook together- he does one or two of the dishes, I do one or two, or we trade back and forth, and even our son gets involved. We make it a family affair!

Most of the time I'm the person who cook at home. My boy friend seldom cook. I have complained to him and ask him cook sometimes, but I still prefer my cooking style. My boy friend even lazy to cook. It's better to eat outside as he say.
