Is democratic U.S. presidential candidate, Obama Muslim?

Is it true that Mr. Obama is really muslim?can a Muslim ever become president of U.S.Why is there so much discussion about his religion?I think if he becomes president, he will patriotically think and decide in the interest of his country.what is your opinion?

No, he is not and never has been Muslim if I have read and remember right. His father and step father were both Muslims, both walked away from the religion. His mother was a Christian and he was raised as a Christian. He has been a member of a Christian church for his entire adult life. His wife is a Christian and his children are attending a Christian church and being raised as Christian.
I have never seen or met a broom closet Muslim. They announce their religion and their beliefs very proudly so if he was a Muslim I do think he would have done or said something that would have let the world known by now since he is under non-stop observation 24/7 and has been for years, daily since he announced he intention to run for President of the United States.

I wouldn't say so much about enlightening but there are a lot of rumors out there and people believe them and make assumptions off of them. I didn't know the answers myself until I took the time to look up the information on him myself.
I looked for unbiased sites that didn't have an agenda to find factual information that could be back up with solid proof and not rumors that can't be backed up with anything solid but rather fears and often times just not liking the guy.

This is so sad that after all this time there are still many people who think Obama is a Muslim. A recent Newsweek poll shows that 12% of those surveyed believe he is a Muslim and 26% think he was raised as a Muslim and neither are true. He lived in Indonesia for a few years as a small child and many have said he attended a Muslim school there but that isn't even true, he went to a government run school there.
