I just wanted to post this to let everyone know that I'm ok. Thanks for all the emails from those of you who sent them. I was fine, just on a short vacation to Mexico which I will discuss soon.
I came home to 800 emails literally in my inbox mostly Mylot discussions and I apologize if I get to them late or can't get to them at all. I will do my best to try though.
So to make this a discussion, what's the largest amount of emails you have ever had in your inbox at one time that were mostly your friends mylot discussions? Do you respond to them all even if it takes you weeks or do you erase and start over with newer discussions?
Thanks for the responses in advance...

I have not been around on mylot that long yet so don't receive that many but if I went away and then came home to literally loads of emails I would go through them one by one even if it took me ages!
Ifind that I have loads anyway as some days am away from my emails for two or three days anyway and then come back to quite a lot!
I think if I knew that it might take me too long and I'd never get through them I would just turn alerts off whilst I was away but then I'd miss loads of good discussions! x

I couldn't bear to turn off the alerts. I didn't want to miss anything. I did read all of the discussions in my inbox but I just couldn't get to them all.
Thanks for the response.

I remember a few months ago... i got like 1000 emails in my inbox... it was spam mail from a supposed to be group in yahoo... but it was like a hoax... since the group never existed at all... so it took me a lot of time to delete them... and sort them from my mylot and friends' email... and i certainly learned my lesson... not to join any group... unless i am familiar with its authenticity...

Hard way to learn that lesson but I'm glad you did. Thankfully it didn't give your computer a virus. Thanks for the response.

When I had this brief job a couple of months ago, I was gone from MyLot for three weeks. Then when I got fired, it still took me another two weeks to get back into the groove of things. When I finally started back to posting, there was about 3000 discussions that I had to sort through, answer, then delete in my e-mail. I did at least view each one, and then make the decision whether to answer or not. With new discussions everyday, it took me about a month to finally get the entire backlog out of my e-mail, and that was just last week that I did it!!! Good luck to you Skinny, and don't feel pressed to answer a discussion just because you were late in getting to it. Only answer the discussions that you are interested in.

I went without the internet for 3 weeks due to problems with the computer and the internet provider.. I did check my mail at my sisters house a couple of times and deleted most of the junk mail, but when I did get back online, I had 999 emails.. I went through and deleted all of the spam mail, which was no more than about 25 emails, then I read my neighbor's jokes and emails.. Then I started on the Mylot emails, which by then was about 900.. I did delete quite a few of them because there was no possible way to answer all of them.. I did although, answer about 200 emails before I gave it up and deleted all of them.. I was getting more and more emails so that for every 10 I did respond to, I received another 3 or 4 in my mail box, so I was not able to catch them all up.. I did try to respond to at least one of each person's email.. It can get to be overwhelming to say the least..
