Vista is a beautifully made operating system.. the graphics are cool and the system showed no problems so far.. it's smooth and easy.. the only problem though is that it takes a huge memory to operate nicely.. or else you'll end up having low quality animations and graphics.. so watch your computer's abilities and then choose what's best for it!

I have vista and i am not a fan of it, it may look nice but it eats alot of ram up and has a few glitches. for instance, i have a netgear wireless adaptor that is not compatible with vista, its program does not work even when i use compatibility mode, but the adaptor works fine, only problem is every 60 seconds there is a 3-5 second lag. due to the fact that vista trys to search for a new network. its your choice, but i would wait for the next sp comes out.

will my friend I would personally suggest not to install Windows vista on your laptop because the biggest problem with that operating system is that it will definitely slow down your system no matter how much RAM and processing power you have. It is one of those operating system which can slow down any kind of computer so that the user may feel that BSE has done a mistake by putting that particular opting system. I do agree that the looks of that operating system is very good but then I need looks only if it is not the compromising the performance of my computer. It will definitely make your computer crime when it is running. My friend got a new sony laptop with a very good configuration but when I tried to copy a CD to his laptop it took us around 40 feminist just to copy the 700 with this on to his hard drive. I was literally amazed by such a fast performance from the operating system and after that I swear that I will never install that when those on any of my computers.

I used Vista, but after a week I installed Xp again. I was totally dissapointed by Vista. I think you shouldn't install it..at least.. I didn't like it at all...XP is much better.

i would advice you not to use vista as i have used it and it makes the computer slower my friends too have same complaints with the vista. I think window xp is the best and if you already have xp continue using it rather tan installing vista.

Awasome Configuration you have. I am sure your computer should be compatible with vista. Before you go ahead run the upgrade advisor and then buy/install the appropriate version. You have feature that solve issue with internet, monitor performance, problem report and solutions wizard and you can increase your computer performance if your have pen drive using ready boost. Enjoy Vista!!!!

My vote is NO. Vista takes alot of RAM to run and will most likely slow you down. If it were my choice, I would definatley go with XP. Just my 2 cents. =)
