What is the Risk Involved in taking Back the Resignation?

Hi All, With a lot of frustration, recently one of my friends submitted resignation to his job. Now his management is ready to address his concers and asking to him to take back his resignation. but I feel like when we reached that extreame stage we should not go back as 1. We won't be able to maintain the same relations that we had earlier 2. You will be one of the early to be targeted if there is economic slow down 3. It looks as if like a black mailing to get the things done 4. Any how all his concerns are addressed in his new job let me know your openion if he should take back his resignation or not?
