I have a little rant that I need to get off my chest. I was in church one Sunday morning and there was a family in there with small children. The baby that they had was crying and she was trying to get the bottle out of the diaper bag to feed him. Out of nowhere the priest stoped his sermon and asked the women if she could take her child into the cry room. I thought it was kinda rude to point this women out like that, not to mention the cry room at that church has no way to see or hear the service going on. I have always heard in church, ever since I was old enough to pay attention, that it was a parents duty to bring thier children to church and bring them up in the faith. Ok, thats fine and all but when you want a parent to sit in a room with no view or any way to hear the service because thier 3 month old child is crying, thats just DUMB!!!!!!! Why go to church then? I can save gas and just watch a service on television, and I can watch it in my pajamas if I want to! It just bugs me that they tell you to do one thing and then when you do it, you have to sit in a box so you dont disturb the other people! If any one knows the point behind this please feel free to comment. It just doesnt make any sense.

I totally agree with you. Babies crying don't bother me me at church. it is the older kids that do. The ones that sit in the back and play with their dolls or what ever and keep whispering. The parents sit right there and don't even bother to sush them. This is 5 & 6 year olds and sometimes older kids keep rattling paper. They don't realize that the little noises that they make carries forward and not back to the back. They are old enough to set quietly at least. There are some littler ones that are much better behaved in church. Just the different in parents I guess.

I agree with you somewhat and I don't believe that the priest should have stopped the service totally in order to point out the woman. There are different ways you should learn to deal with people, especially if you are a person in power. I believe he delt with this in an unwise manner. I do also believe that there should be some sort of order though. In every organization, even the church, there has to be order for it to run smoothly. If the baby was crying continuously, don't you think that it disturbs the service and distracts other people from hearing the sermon? All the lady had to do was calm the baby down and come back and listen to the remaning sermon.
