You prefer a spectacle or a contact lens,why?

Now-a-day people who wear a spectacle for sure will also get themselve a pair of contact lens.Before,contact lens are very dangerous to be use but due to the tecnology we got,now it is very safe.This has made contact lens getting popular among us.As for me,i'll chose to spectacle more than a contact lens because it is not more convenient for me seem i only need to wear spectacle during class.Other than that i won't need it,so wearing contact lens is inconvenient for me.How about you guys,share your experience of spect and contact with all of us here.Thanks

Hi and Welcome to MyLot!
I've needed vision correction since I was about 12 years old. Way back then, all we had were glasses.(spectacles) As I grew to be a teenager, all the rage was contact lenses. At that time they were the hard kind, but I had to have them. lol I wore them for quite awhile and then just kinda gave them up and went back to glasses. Flash forward about 15 years and I tried contacts again since now they were soft and felt alot better than the old kind. I wore contacts for about 2 years and then I think I just got lazy. 
I decided that it was a pain in the gazebo to put them in, take them out, etc. plus if I wanted to take a nap, I'd take them out, then put them in...and it goes on.. so I switched back to glasses and have worn glasses ever since. I have to wear them all the time because I have trouble reading and driving. I don't mind though. I'm used to them and don't hardly know I have them on.

I see.But some people really look better in glasses that contact.Besides,it wearing contact really so troublesome and it is not suitable for people where they are very busy because you might forgot to take off and cause infection to eyes.Personal hygiene is also very important for people who wear contact.So for me,it is much more easy to use a spect.

Although my eye doctor suggested contacts, since I'm not as familiar with them, I prefer spectacles instead. Lately I need bifocals, and went to the doctor and he told me I needed it. When they went to fill the order, they didn't put it in, so I went back and told them that the doctor said that I needed bifocals and they claimed he didn't approve of it. So I'm going to another doctor next month for bifocals.

I think this depends on ones choice and age.I am an old man so I do prefer specs .It is difficult for an old man to take care of lens.......Lens are for young people especially young girls who want to look smarter by wearing coloured lens........Then there are some people who want to hide that they have weak eye sight so they prefer lens over specs...........

I would never use contacts from all the bad things I hear about them from my grandmother who used to be an eye doctor they do more damage than good.

well I am kind of vain actually. I really love to wear contact lenses and even those with colored and making the iris looks bigger. However, when I am at home I will soonest possible change to glasses as my eyes will be usually dry and tired when I get back. I still could not accept the laser eye treatment yet as I am still unprepared. I find myself looking very matured when I wear spectacle although my friends commented is alright. So, I prefer to wear lens.
