next month i will be buying my first laptop computer out of my hard earned money. I would love to hear your opinions on how to choose the best brand on the market and the best specifications.
i love music so i will store more music files on this. i am also an internet man so i will always stay online. i also love photography and sure to store many pictures. i also do some video editings. i am also a game lover so i would probably play games in this.
can you suggest a specification and settings for my needs?

well i just got my 2nd laptop which is a macbook.. and i love it very much..
my first laptop is an acer extensa.. (that time acer is what i can afford, but i have always wanted a mac..)
i think if your more into photos, music and videos (and editing), i think a mac is best for you (iLife).. as for the gaming, that i don't know.. hehehe..

well? as for my analysis of mac's capability, it's only best for peoples in the creative jobs and editing it fails on the the multimedia and connectivity side. i'm still on my search for the best.

Hi Leo,
Same here!!! I will soon be buying my own laptop. It's actually a notebook that I'm keeping my eyes on. I fell head over heels with VAIO-P. It's not yet available here in the Philippines. When I checked the SONY website, it costs $900, or around Php40,500.00 My husband has hesitations though. He always reminds me that with that amount, I can buy 2 laptops already. Makes me think... ... makes sense... but then again...

there may be many options and many may be very appealling that when you will look at them you will really want to buy that. i will give you some tips which will help you limits your options and filter down the best choice. first thing don't ever fell into trap of sales person, but do listen to them carefully, do a market survey and always ask about the plus points of one brand laptop from the sales person of the competitor. this will clear a lot of disguises. next never buy a laptop which is build to its maximum, i mean it should be upgradable. try to buy a latest laptop compromise its price over its capacity rather then capability. to elaborate buy less ram or smaller harddrive which can be upgraded later but don't buy cheaper old model with maximum ram e.t.c which culd not be upgraded later on. last but not least look for the after sales features and support. very very important.

I suggest custom orders online. That way you can get exactly what you want and what you need at Ibuypower.com. If you don't want to spend money online you can always go to circuit city, best buy home depot (maybe), or Aaron's own it in 12 months. Ask the store clerk and maybe theyll have exactly what you need there. For music you're going to need a hardrive with a decent amount of memory. Be sure to request it.

we are the same, leomilson. i am also canvassing for a good laptop computer to buy. i also love photography, digital in nature, and a music lover. actually i am using an old laptop model but i hate it because i can't store many kinds of music and pictures. one of my friends, who is also in photography, suggested to me the Macbook computer. i saw him using one and t is really great especially when you have to edit pictures. but it costs much for me and i think it takes a year here in myLot before i am able to buy a macbook. LOL.
