I traveled to Spain for 10 days back in 1999. I wish I could've stayed for three months! Spain was amazing. Of all the European countries I've been to Spain was my favorite. My favorite city was Barcelona. Wandering around Las Ramblas looking at all the street merchants and artists was cool. Enjoy your time in Spain! I'm sure you will have a great time.

You can heard that spanish is different and this is true. In other country at 8.pm all pubs and store are closed. Here the store closes 9 pm or 10 p.m and the pubs open more time. the people go out to the house at nigth a lot of times. all in spain is different. You need eat Migas in aragon, Paella in valencia for example

Well, guess it's over by now. So how did it go for you? Had agood time there? I've been to Spain in the past, yes. To Canarias island, most precisely and had a good Summer time there. Advice...it's hot! ;) But you know that by now already..

How wonderful - its no wonder you are so excited, i bet you are counting the days and hours to your departure. I think its a great idea to take spanish lessons as it will help you communicate in the village areas and also involve you more in the community. Be sure to have your health insurance sorted for peace of mind and get a postal address sorted incase your family want to send you anything! I went to andalucia last year in the sierra mountains and had an amazing holiday. I intend to go back this year but sadly it wont be for 3 months! Good luck and I wish you well in your travels!

I hope that you will have a wonderful time in Spain and think that it is a great place to live in order to learn Spanish. I have been to the Canary Islands, owed by Spain, but situated off the coast of North Africa. I haven't yet been to mainland Spain. If I did I would love to go to Barcelona to see the lovely architecture. It would be wonderful to see historical places in Spain, like Seville and Granada. I think that Spanish people are really friendly. However I would never go to a bull fight because it is so cruel. I have traveled to Guatemala in Central America and Spanish is the language there. I am very keen on traveling and would love to go on a trip to Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama. I am very keen on going to South America. Expect in Brazil Spanish is spoken there. I advise taking suncream, sunglasses, a Spanish dictionary, some pens and book to write in. Happy traveling and learning.

Wow, I'm envious. I've been to Spain, but just on vacation, not actually living there and immersing myself in the culture. Where did you stay when you were there? I loved Seville, Granada and Barcelona. Missed Valencia sadly. Madrid wasn't as wonderful as I'd hoped. Still an absolutely beautiful country.
