Does anyone out there have any hints for three dimensional bead work? I am trying to expand my experience in doing this. I have seen turtles, lizards, and fish at the gem shows and have seen actual figures in the beading magazines but can find no directions on doing this. Any hints or helps would be greatly appreciated.

I do beading as well and look for new stuff to do all the time. i tried the 3 dimensional stuff but I'm not to good at it and well am not patient enough to figure it out so I'll stick with my earrings, necklaces and stuff like that. Here is a site that may help you am not sure. http://www.thebeadsite.com/BBSHAPES.html I hope this site helps. Happy beading and good luck.

Oh my. This website is awesome! I saw a few kits in there that I will probably order before the week is out. The 3-d lion's head and the dragonfly bag have definitely caught my eye! Too cool. Thank you so much!!! If you have anymore wonderful sites up your magic sleeve - let me know.

I know what you mean there, but I don't know this stuff at all or how to do it, LOL..
Just been reading this discussion even though it's a year back.
So did you find the solution for it? How did it go?

Well, I went to the recommended website uniquebeadedjewelry.com and found a bunch kits and patterns for the birds, as on the picture of one of the responses. I ended up buying a kit for a necklace! Go figure! I have been playing around trying to create my own 3D patterns. I was successful in doing a small mermaid, but now I am concentrating on teaching beading to others. Thanks for asking and if you should find any good patterns out there in your paranormal travels - please let me know.
