We all know how badly the rising gas price is affecting us. Lots of people are changing their driving habits. As rising gas prices affecting food prices people are changing their eating habit too. Personally I have not been able to change my driving habit, because I have to drive to school always no matter ho much the gas price is. I can’t get bus in my way to collage from home. I think I have to look for car pool if gas price keep going up. Have your habit been changed after the gas price rising? If it is so, what kind of change you are going through?

I actually quit my job. I now stay home and work. It has saved us over $100.00 a week. Plus I also save money on daycare. Which is gone up in price also. Believe it or not we now have more money since I have been working from home. I live far away from my work and it was just to expensive to buy gas everyweek. Plus we would have to fill up my boyfriends truck. We also have decided not to go on vacation this summer. It is too expensive for a family of 5 to go anywhere no matter how you travel. My children are pretty upset, but it just can't be done on what we make.

Good for you that you have found a way and you are saving more now. Ya, vacation is becoming so expensive these days.

I'm coping relatively well with gas prices because I don't own a car, and my CNIB Card (Caadian National Istitute for the Blind) allows me to ride the city busses in my area, for free. Of oure cab fares have gone up, and so have bus fares for the people who have o pay for them, but I don't take cabs that often, so for me there is not as much to worry about as there may be for some other people.

I pay what ever it says. I own a business and most of my driving involves the business so it is an expense. This will be deducted from my taxes. However I have raised clients prices to keep it from coming out of my own pocket.

If we keep our habit always like this, we don't have to worry about any economic hardship. Good for you halynn.

I drive an SUV unfortunately, so it costs me a lot, so I don't leave the house unless I absolutely have too!!! As far as eating habits, that has gone down as well and you can tell! I lost about 10 pounds during the last few months without the intention of losing weight. Maybe America needs something like this, though I do not enjoy it at all I assure you!

The public transit prices are rising, even for disabled folks, so I'm walking/rolling a lot more and staying home more, too, although I refuse to become a total homebody. I'm making cuts in other areas of my budget, however, to make up for it.

My office is at home so need not go by car.Even so I normally go by car to resolve some things in our town, from now with the gas prices I'm going by foot or by bus. Every weekend we use to visit places and etc', now we stay more at home and rest.

Good thing I live 5 minutes away from my office. So even if we bring the car, we don't consume much. It is just during weekends that we go farther than we use to. If we really don't have to go somewhere, we just stay at home. This helps us save money even if for a few bucks.

i just use the car when i really have to and just stay at home.. and if i really have to go to town then i usually use public transportation.. easier that way anyway.. no problem parking and paying for parking fees at that.. ehehehe..

yes, public transportation is good. But very few cities have it in US. So, most of the people have to depend on their own car.

I dont have a car but I am commuting and of course somehow I have chnaged my habits sepcialy in going to malls. The market is just near so we can walk it. The one thing I cant change is my eating habits. I cant change it since I need food and I cannot compromise when it comes to food. maybe I can change my shopping habits.

Well, I try not to go out to eat as much as I used to before. I work at home most of the time since I'm self employed. I have a part time job ,but is only once or twice a week that I have to drive to go to work. Thank God my car is a 4 cylinder ,and I still can filled the tank with $28.00. Some agencies are discussing the possibility of implementing a 4 days a week work schedule.

We don't go anywhere not necessary. Work and the store and thats it in our household. We are also considering parking one car and canceling the car insurance on one of them to save a few bucks. Since I'm usually at home while he works it would save us some money. We also make sure and plan our outtings so that we don't do alot of back tracking all over town when running errands.

I don't do as much driving as I otherwise would. However, I still make some longer trips for fun.

I hope that you enjoy the gas prices now, because they can only go up. A year from now gas maybe eight dollars a gallon. This is going to profoundly affect how people live and what they do. My street where I live has gotten a lot quieter lately with less traffic.

Well for one I don't drive as much. I also drive less when theres lots of traffic on the road. I also drive in the right hand lane and go slower to save gas.

How i deal with it is the main thing I don't drive as much which is #1 way. Also I don't drive when theres lots of traffic on the road if I can such as real late at night. I also stay in the right hand lane and go slower and don't accelerate as much.

I do my running like 3 times aweek and on the same side of that area of the city and just walk to near stores to spare my already thin wallet.

Fortunately I can walk or take the bus to collage. But the soaring gas price still has effect on my family. We take less trips on weekend. But we don't change our eating habit, it is hard to control.

Public transportation and bikes. I have been doing that for a while and I realize how much more money i have left. The gas prices are only going to get worse so im sticking to train and busses.
