MyLot Changes

I wonder how everyone else is feeling about the changes MyLot has made to its website. I am gradually getting used to the new layout, but some of the discussions I have tried to view are not displaying so well. I wish they would take a vote on the new format. I think the old was better. How about you?

I still don't like it. I like the old layout much better. It looked nicer and was more user friendly. I really don't care for the gigantic boxes on the new layout and there is also a lot of empty space my vote would be to go back to the old layout.

I also liked the old layout much better. This one lacks the friendliness the other layout had, and I am having to look for things whereas before I knew my way around perfectly. I don't suppose they'd give us a vote, but if they did, I'd like to go
back to the old way.

well, I like this better than before. It will just take time to be used to it. But this is more detailed and user friendly. You will get used to it if you will be here everday.

Thanks for your response. I don't like having to look for things. Before I knew where everything was and now I am having to search for them. I suppose it is a bit like moving into a new house.

I am with you, I like the old layout better. Not only because I'm resistant to change lol, but because with the new dialog box you have to type more to get the four lines in. I usually don't have a problem with this, but knowing that I have to work a little bit more on some discussions just to get the four lines is more than a little annoying. I think they should take a poll, hell I think they should have fixed the rating system to keep out trolls before they worried about the looks of the site, but as we all know our opinion won't matter too much unless we all get up and leave, and you know that isn't going to happen anytime soon.

Thanks for your response. I hope they will eventually get all the kinks out. MyLot doesn't look like a friendly face to me anymore but I suppose I'll get used to thenew layout in time.

I was surprised the other day when I logged in and saw the changes here at myLot. I had to check it out. I had to check on the different tabs and everything. Well, I am now comfortable with it. There's just one thing that I can't seem to understand. It is being automatically logged-out after a few minutes of being idle. That is the part which I do not really like.

I'm not entirely comfortable with the changes yet, and I haven't been inactive while I'm on the site for long enough to have it automatically log me out, but I suppose they have a reason for doing that. It will be a few days until MyLot seems like "home" to me.

It's going to take a bit of adjustment for those of us who have been using MyLot
awhile. I will have to find my way around again and be on the site a lot of times
before I am comfortable with the new look. Also I have run into problems with
viewing some of the discussions, but hopefully they are still working of the legistics of the
change and that will be remedied with time. Thanks for your comments.

I dont have ay problem about the new layout of the site,I find it really beautiful and its easy to use
.I even get used from the old layout but the layout right now is easy to manage and friendly

yes that is a very good idea if you can vote for the changed of the website.But i been to discussions at first of mylot and it seems that most people like the new layout.But ofcourse the people who been here for very long time they find them self confusing about the layout because they are used to other layout.I just hope that they will find the new changes work for them after sometimes.Give it sometimes and chance who knows mybe you will like it also..Just like i do.

Thanks for your comments, chej18. From the responses this discussion is getting, it appears most people appreciate the changes. I hope I am not just getting old and set in my ways. I'm sure I will like it better when I don't have to look for everything on the page. It is like moving to a new neighborhood and having
to find my way around for a few days.lol
