I got a new computer last Christmas. It had Vista loaded on it. I will say that it is not as comfortable to use as XP first off. The system has to ask over and over again. "is this ok?" "are you really wanting to do this" It is annoying. Also, Vista takes alot more Ram to run. You might think that you have alot of Ram, but when you realize Vista takes up about 512mb to operate it's system that does not necessarily leave alot. I have heard that many manufactrers are offering a down grade to XP if you request it. This is because there have been so many complaints against Vista. Apparently, you just need to contact the manufactorer of your computer if it came with Vista. That's my 2 cents!

I still have XP but just the other day my techy said the time is coming that I will have to make the switch, apparantly there is a dat that has been mentioned when the updates and stuff for XP will stop..I am not looking forward to that day as I have heard so much negativity about Vista...

For me its a tie. It took some time for me to adjust to Vista on my new pc, but after a few weeks I was able to use most of the features. Only thing is that Vista is a RAM hog especially when it comes to playing games. I've read it somewhere that for gaming, you should have like 3 GB of RAM if you have Vista.
