Why is Antartica cold?

It's cold because of where it is. Since Antarctica is so close to the south pole, the sun's rays hit it at a low angle, and a lower angle means less energy gets there so it is colder.

...that's what I'd say too.. it's angle from the sun.. I think the north pole is just as cold..?

Is it colder then the north pole?
They are cold because they are further from the sun and because the suns rays has to go through more atmosphere then at the equator.
At the equator the suns rays go through the direct line thickness of the atmosphere but at the poles, because of the angle the rays have to go through to reach the surface of the earth the thickness of the atmosphere is greater.
