I DO! No question about it. :) I think that it's always a bargain. I've tried continental, intercontinental, Filipino, Japanese, and Chinese buffets already. My favorite is the Japanese eat-all-you-can sushi buffet because the makis were big and toppings were generous. I've also taken part of a pizza buffet once before. It was a different experience but I only had 5 slices before almost throwing up. :( Pizza buffets are not for girls like me. Too much carbs makes me sick. :( Anyway, I'd love to hear about your buffet experience. Do you think it's worth it? Do you want to try it? How much are you willing to pay for it?

I enjoy going to all you can eat buffets even though I don't eat much. It's fun being able to take however much of whatever they serve. I usually get really bloated from buffets and sometimes sick which is the downside of it. My stomach really can't handle overeating because it's not something I do often. My favorite buffet is the Chinese buffets. I've never been to a Japanese one before. I think there is one near me but I have no idea what they serve other than sushi. One day I will be adventerous and try it.

Japanese buffets, or at least the ones I've been to, offer more than just sushi. They also have teriyaki dishes, which you should try if you're not a vegan. Tempuras are also great but they make you full because of the batter. Some restaurants have desserts included in the menu but I haven't tried any good Japanese desserts yet. I'm beginning to think the Japanese aren't fond of sweets as compared to Chinese. Anyway, let us know if you've tried the Japanese buffet near your place and much it costs! Thanks!

I like to go to buffets. I do not normally eat a whole lot when I am at a buffet, but I like that you can pick just a little bit of a bunch of different things. It is great for those times when you cannot decide what exactly you want to eat. It is also nice for when you are going out with other people and they all have a little bit different tastes in food.

Oh, that's right! I only go to a buffet with my family, so we all have similar tastes when it comes to food. Maybe next time we have a relative from a different country, we could take him or her to a buffet instead. :) That's a great idea. Then we wouldn't have to worry about whether or not he or she likes Chinese, American, etc. Thanks for the comment.

Buffets are great. I took a group of 15 teens on a weekend retreat. We ate at a buffet on the second day and they just loved it. I think the staff got worried when they saw them coming LOL They ate for over an hour. What a great deal!

I don't like them for one I don't eat a lot a one sitting I tend to snack on small meals all day. Second I don'twant to "hunt my food" when I go out to eat. I want to be pampered while I am out. I want the food brought to me. My boys on the other hand love them. They always want to go to a buffet. But they are boys and somethimes it is just cheaper for me to take them to a buffet because the eat so much.

Good for you! At least you are eating healthier than me. I understand how some people might not want to stand up and "hunt food" as you put it, but sometimes it takes forever for the kitchen to prepare our meals as well. Also, in more upscale restaurants such as those in hotels, you just order as much as you want from the menu and everything is served at your table. But I enjoy getting up and walking a bit after every plate. :)

Sure! Buffets are great. And they are affordable. Even if the restaurant charges $8.00 or more per person, you can still get plenty to eat. Lots of fun too! Love those places.

Just around town ones, I don't care for but when I lived in Las Vegas 12 years ago - boy howdy, did they have some buffets! Man alive those were fantastic and they were only about $6 for the lunch and $9 for dinner! The prices have been raised - nearly doubled since then, but boy did we eat! Practically any kind of food you like, they had it! Throw in I played the coupon circuit that htey had for locals to get them to go into town to gamble - feed them and they will come! BOGO and even some free coupons - never paid full price! We'd go on Sat afternoon after the crowds, pay half price or free and just sit and eat for 2 hours! THey (at least at that time) didn't care how long you sat! Breakfast ones were pushed, but after rush lunch hour, they didn't care! It was great!

I do like a good buffet. I just went with some friends to an excellent Chinese buffet for someone's birthday over the weekend. There was so much food and all of it was very fresh, even the fruit and salad. I have been to many Chinese buffets and they vary in quality, and most are pretty good, but this one was probably the best I've been to. I also like the general "everything" buffets, like Hometown or Old Country Buffet. They have a little bit of everything so there is something for everyone. Most of the food there tends to be pretty good. The downside is that it always seems to be "children's night" and you really have to remember to look down as you walk! Buffets are great for when you have a large group of people, as most buffets do not rush you out, so it is nice if you want to stay and chat for a long time. I once spent 3 hours at a buffet chatting with friends, and no one so much as gave us a look. All in all, I do like the buffets.

I love buffets! We go to one particular chinese buffet a couple of tmes a month. It is our favorite place to eat. I pig out on the stir fry and other tidbits on the buffet. I usually feel very full when I leave there. The only problem with Chinese food is that it doesn't seem to stay with you. In a couple of hours you're hungry again. Have a nice night, Char

Yummy! This discussion is really making me hungry . I also love to eat at eat-all-you-can buffets. That is where we go whenever there are despedidas, birthdays, or blowouts. It is really a good idea and practical to go there if you are all adults. Based on my experience, even if the kids are paying for half or discounted price, they can't get the moneys worth because they eat only selected food. The prices will really depend on where you are mimico, so giving you a price would not help you compare if we are located on different places.

There was a time when I loved them, but for me it is not bargain. I don't eat all that much when I go to them and for what they charge, at least where I live, it's not worth it. There is one though that is very good and a real treat. Because I love sushi, this is an all Japanese buffet with fresh fish, vegetables and all kinds of fresh sushi. It's not cheap, but it's one of the best buffets I've ever been to.

I do love all-you-can eat buffets. When my mother was still alive. Every Sunday, we usually eat out. Our favorite stop? All-you-can eat. With so many choices to choose from, I always go for Japanese. OMG, I can eat all the tempura and sushi. YUMMY!.

We used to have a bunch of all you can eat buffet restaurants around here, but they all closed up. I am waiting for a restaurant called CiCi's to open up near here. It is a pizza buffet... but the carbs don't bother me.

Eat all you can buffets are only good for people who loves to eat. People who has huge stock room, big stomach. It is not worth to eat such food bargains with people like me. I am not saying I do not love to eat, but as I always say, I have enough, for I have a very tiny stomach. LOL

I love eating at a buffet especially if it is for free and not in a party. I feel uneasy whenever I get a lot from the buffet table in a party because people would always stare at you thinking that you haven't eaten for weeks. MY favorite buffet so far is an all dessert and chocolate buffet. The endless selection of fruit tarts and chocolate fountain really gave me a sugar rush that lasted the whole day.
