I have noticed that I get bored easily because my days follows the same routine. DO you guys feel the same way? If you do, how do you get motivated? If you don't, how do you change your everyday life so that it can be interesting?

Right now since I am down from school for the summer, my days are overall the same. I don't view it as a bad thing though since it is filled with relaxation. Sometimes I do get bored because my life at school is more fast-paced, while I feel like I am dragging back at home. I dont let it get to me though, I just do some fun things every now and then when I can.

Hey there krayzietam, yes I agree that life with nothing to do can be boring. I assume that you are a person that likes a fast-paced life. :D

Yeah I prefer a faced paced lifestyle. I just like being on the move and I like having things to do. Of course I don't want to feel like this all the time because I like to relax as well. But I would rather having things to do than not having anything to do at all. I just feel like I would be wasting my life away if I constantly sat around and did nothing lol

i feel the same way here. i'm a stay at home mom with 3 kids under 6. we follow basically the same routine every day. i sometimes have a hard time with it and i just zone out for the whole day. at first i liked being a stay at home mom. i still like it but we really could use the money. i can't go back to work yet though because my daughter starts school and we have no one to get her off the bus if i'm at work. so i feel kind of stuck. we have been going on walks around town. that kind of breaks things up a little bit. i also have started to volunteer for the american cancer society. and i'm going to join the local fire hall that is right across the street helping out with the ladies auxilary.

My days and weeks are similar! It does get that way when you are a parent, since we send the children to school and make meals as well as doing the chores! I think it is good to do something different every now and then! We can start by celebrating holidays to bring some cheer into our lives! Maybe doing a different activity each week, sports can change with the season and so can exercises! We can also choose our meals to spice up our life and make it more interesting!

There are other ways to spend time wisely! Find out what you really enjoy doing, reading, watching movies, doing puzzles, whatever turns you on! Seriously, time goes by slower if you are bored and do not have anything to do! I remember the summers of my youth when we did not go on vacation or do anything special, time really seemed to drag! After I became a mother, time sped up so quickly that my children are now the age that I was, the last time I stopped to notice! Maybe you can help a family member or neighbor with the children and chores, then you will see how quickly time can go by! It will help you appreciate your quiet and "boring" time a lot more!

Give yourself a treat. Do something fun. Goals maybe. There is alot to be said for routine. You just need to mix it up occasionally.

I'm a creature of habit so i'm not really happy when something breaks my every routine.... Fact is, I get upset when I experience changes in my schedule especially at work. YOu see i'm not that resilient when it comes to changes so I'd rather have a very routinary lifestyle....

There was a time I would get bored easily, but now I don't. I'm either busy with work, spending time reading, watching TV, surfing the net and now recently of course enjoying myself on mylot. I draw motivation from friends and from watching people around me. Maybe you should change your routine a little bit and see how it goes.

Hello koharukusumi. I have so many things to do in my life that I never, and I mean never, get bored. I knit, read, surf the internet, research various subjects from time to time, and write for the internet. Also, I try to keep the house halfway presentable. We have a pool so I can take a swim everyday. Plus, there's always something to be cleaned or cooked. Or, I can run to the store to pick up something fresh for dinner. My husband and I take walks and go on little drives or to the beach. Plus I work and read books related to my profession. The list goes on and on and on. Also, I work 3 days a week. Oops, I didn't even mention the TV, which I love. So, I feel like there's never enough time to do everything. Take care, koharukusumi.

Well, koharukusumi, you are definitely on the right track. Be sure to stay in college. Get all the education you can get. Be as interested as possible in all your subjects at school. Then, find a job you love to do and that pays well. You will have your own piece of paradise someday if you do these things. Oh, I forgot to mention the importance of saving some of your earnings. A little bit at first, then more and more over time. Live a little below your means so you can save. That is how my husband and I have created our current life. You can do it also. You have your whole life ahead of you and that is very exciting!! Take care koharukusumi.

Yeah, good thing about being young is that you can ask older people who have been there and done that to share their experiences. Thanks Pearlgrace.:D

Hey there Pearlgrace, geezz, you are living in PARADISE because all the thing that you are doing are what I like to do during leisure times. But I am too young to have that kind of life. After college I might have to chase after riches before I can enjoy that kind of life. :D

I don't have the same routine everyday. Well, maybe an overall routine, like the hours for eating and things like that (with two little kids, you need to have some routine to get things done). But the things I do with the kids: like going out to play or things like that keep it changed enough to have interesting days. Have a nice day

its true we do a lot of things on a routien basis, thats life, so you shoud not feel bored, do you feel bored when you go to pee though you have been doing it all your life, have you ever thought today i will lie down and pee upwards for a change, so changing the way u do orutine things is just to satisfy ourselves that we are doing someohng diferent, no need of it, be happy that you are doing it for yourself and only for your happiness then all routine stuff becomes enjoyable
