I am a huge Reds fan but would love to see Junior go. I loved to move that brought him here and because of injuries he has not been the same Junior in Seattle. No one's fault. I'd love to see him get traded and be able to get a championship. Many Reds fans don't think he deserves to be traded. Those fans don't understand baseball. In the modern day of steriods, Junior has hit 600+ HR the right way. He deserves a championship and the Reds sure as heck won't give him one.
He was never ours to begin with. His is from Cincinnati, yes, but he started his career in Seatle and had his best years there. He'll go into Cooperstown as a Mariner and as a Reds fan I'll be cheering for him the entire time.

I agree that he deserves a championship ring, but I am not sure he'll ever get one. The last rumor I heard was that he might have Seattle begging for his return. God knows Seattle needs a lot of help, but I don't think Jr. is the answer to their problems.

Unfortunately, I think you are right. he has detiorated so much and has a huge contract that there quite frankly are not many takers. The Seattle rumors were rampant early but they stink now and it would not make sense for them to trade for Jr now. And the Reds are only 8 back from the wild card. I fear they may try to keep Dunn and Jr and make a run that will be unsuccessful. I like Bruce and the young guys. I am okay with getting a few more and letting them learn on the big league level.

I can understand that they may think of making a run for it, as is my team (somewhat) the Pirates. It may be an interesting race at the end if both our teams wake up and play better
I think that Seattle is so messed up right now that they don't know what the heck they are doing, with the recent rash of firings as proof. They were supposed to be in the lead with the Angels in the west, but they really are lost.

Pirates? Wow, we are both gluttons for punishment. We need to go back to the 70's when our teams were good:) Then again, we could be Seattle. You are right. They have NO CLUE

I don't really think Favre's is about the money. He is just like Jordan and can't walk away from the game. He retired to early with stuff left on the table.
